Reminds me of the Jason Kendall injury.

I wouldn't mind landing on Kate Hudson.

Beachy really needs to hurry up and get back.

2013-07-25 08:20:46 AM

at least braves fans can use this injury as an excuse for their annual playoff collapse

=(

Last start for the team?

Having had a compound fracture of my forearm, I can sympathize with the amount of pain he must have endured.  That's not a fun feeling.  At. All.

Maybe for his career. I hope not. Think Teheran can step up? Maybe Minor? Medlin?

Eric Young Jr. actually had to go to twitter because asshole Braves fans were accusing him of intentionally injuring Hudson.

It's EY's fault because he hit the ball!

If anything, that is an example of all Braves fans and not retards that have access to twitter.

Beachy and Wood can fill the spot. And, Teheran and Minor have been pretty darn good so far.

Up until a week ago, the Braves had used 6 starters (5 for 20 starts and 1 for a start during a doubleheader). Now, one guy done for good, one guy with a wrist strain that could be down for a month, and now you have to depend on a super green rookie and a guy returning from TJ.

Balls.

Damn, I was really hopping they might be able to put the brakes on StL a bit over the weekend.

Do you REALLY think Maholm has a wrist sprain?

/going to see them play the Marlin on the 10th

His foot was in the wrong spot, but it still looked intentional.

/don't really care

Well, it's more of a "goddamn it, dude, we were going to freaking trade you and now you shiat the bed in July AND you're injured. Thanks a lot, asshole" sprain.

There's still time for him to get better before the waiver deadline

For once it wasn't a Met horrifically injured at Citifield.  Really sucks for Hudson though.

Intentional?  You aren't serious, are you?

+1 subby!

It was totally Hudson's fault for covering that much of the bag.

That said I feel bad for Hudson and Young. You could tell he felt terrible.
Ugh the slow replay was so nasty. I hope the braves can recover.

That wasn't intentional....

THIS was intentional.

No, Young did not do that on purpose. In fact, I'd say that this is one of those "no-fault" accidents. Hudson, covering the bag on a bang-bang play with a quick baserunner got stepped on. It's unfortunate, but injuries happen in sports. It's the nature of the beast.

As for the Braves new roster opening...Sutton & Carrey were talking about what to do with Beachy once he's ready to come back. Don indicated that he thought Medlin should go to the bullpen, to make room for Brandon. Guess he doesn't have to now, huh?

No way that was intentional. Hudson had to turn back toward 2nd to receive the ball, and had to kind of "feel" where the bag was. He got too much of his foot on it. Young had nowhere else to go and landed on him. Young was very classy about it all, and clearly was upset. It's just bad luck all around. No fault, and anyone that says there was is an idiot or an ass or both.

/Braves fan
//Hope Beachy can get his control back - 20 walks in his minors rehab is scary.
///Hate the Mets, but the fans and EY were very respectful. Phillies fans would probably have pointed and laughed.

Saw that last night (actually submitted a link with a way shiattier headline). Scary. As a Mets fan I detest the Braves, but I respect the hell outta Hudson and hope he recovers fully and can come back to pitch if he still wants to.
