I'm pretty sure Federal Cop trumps Local any day of the week. And I'm pretty sure local cops can go to PMITA prison for making death threats against setting elected officials.

He'll be rewarded for this by True Patriots, too.  The culture of "our political idealogical opposition is no different from an armed force determined to destroy the country we love" has really taken hold.

I've been to Gilberton, PA. Half the houses are falling down, the place constantly gets flooded by the shiat creek/acid mine runoff that borders the town, there are uncovered coal trucks going through constantly so the whole place is covered in a layer of black sand and there are maybe a few hundred dirt-poor idiots living there. It doesn't need a Police Chief as much as it needs a sinkhole and a cleansing fire.

This 'gem' is from the bylaws section of his Constitutional Security Force website:

B.No person who advocates, or has been or is a member of or has been associated with any organization formal or informal that advocates the overthrow of the government of the United States or the violation of the Constitution thereof shall be entitled to be a member, governing, associate or otherwise.

So, he created an organization so he could break it's own bylaws.

/The confederate Flag on his shiat was a nice touch.

FTFA: Kessler has several videos uploaded on YouTube and in one he bemoans "libtards" and warns of an armed rebellion against the government.

But only a few paragraphs later...

Quoting Kessler: I won't be going to D.C. [probably referencing Adam Kokesh's armed march on Washington DC] and I don't give a fark. If you farking maniacs want to turn this into an armed revolt, knock yourselves out. I'm not about that, so see you on the other side."

Yup, the scwary man wif a scwary gun is advocating an armed revolt.

Except, you know, the part where he didn't.

Also, Markley's law never had a chance with this article.

Absent some specific, actual threat ("I'm going to shoot Nancy Pelosi"), in all likelihood it's protected speech.

This is especially true if he is merely using the images as illustrative of some defensive shooting techniques.

Wikipedia says there are less than 800 people in it. It's practically a suburb of Frackville or Pottsville. It makes Catawissa look like Wilkes-Barre. I think Police Chief farktard is just desperate for some attention.

I will laugh when he's shiatcanned. I will laugh even more at the tards that raise their voices in protest, supporting their new hero and lamenting the "unconstitutional violation of the right to free speech."

Will simply shake my head if he is allowed to keep his job.

there's a very, very big difference between "hate speech" and "Direct threats to elected officials and threats of insurrection against the government"

And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

You're correct, and if you read TFA, you'll see that nothing he did is a "direct threat" to an elected official, nor is it a threat of insurrection:

I wont be going to D.C. and I don't give a fark. If you farking maniacs want to turn this into an armed revolt, knock yourselves out. I'm not about that, so see you on the other side.

Kessler says this video for "beginners" while he imagines shooting Nancy Pelosi saying, "We're gonna give two to Nancy and we're gonna put two in her face."

and

"I'm calling on all true Americans , all militia members, all true oath keepers to assemble, be ready to march on a tyrannical county government right here in Schuylkill county Pennsylvania, democrats are the true enemy of our country, our freedoms, our constitution, along with liberal news agency's , liberal news reporters, much like hitlers nazis , time we clean these antiamerican thugs from office," he wrote.

I'm not sure how to interpret those statements as anything but a call for insurrection.

Nobody passes through that podunk town.  The general area?  Sure, when you're driving up the Northeast extension.  But honestly, what on earth does Gilberton offer of value to anyone?

There are two properties listed in Gilberton, PA.  One is for sale for $13,000, the other $7,900.  Sounds like Sheriff Numb Nuts has more pressing problems than worrying about anyone ever coming to their town to take.... well.... anything.

You could interpret them, legitimately, as the rantings of a sad, stupid and woefully ignorant fool, tilting at non-existent windmills and railing against that which he misunderstands and fears.

Actually, you could interpret this such that he's suggesting they're going to give her four hot dogs.

It does have a consequence. You lost respect for him, and if you knew him IRL, you could make a decision on your interactions with him.

You can say WHATEVER YOU WANT- but when you lose your job, lose your friends, lose your advertisers and lose the respect of your peers, those are the consequences.

I keep bumper stickers off my car and hide my political affiliations and spiritual beliefs from the locals. I don't trust the cops at all...and attitudes like this one are more common that you'd want to hear.

FTFA: The Morning Call  reports, "Mayor Mary Lou Hannon said she saw no reason to discipline Kessler, who said he made the video to draw attention to gun rights. Hannon noted he did it on his own time and violated no laws."

Kessler may not have violated any laws, but it seems that both he and Mayor Hannon may be violating the oaths they took for their positions.

I'd bet Mayor Hannon didn't run for office on a platform of granting autonomy to the Police Chief who loathes approximately half the citizens he swore to protect and defend.

I'd also guess Mayor Hannon may be a tad scared of Chief Kessler - (seen it before)

shiat, why do you think people who live in that area refer to the land area between Philly and Pittsburgh as Pennsyltucky?  They ain't kidding.  One reason why the furthest I've gone into PA is PA Dutch country.  The middle part of that state is scary.

Just don't be caught driving a Prius with your Coexist and Obama 2012 and War for Oil bumper stickers placed prominently on the back. Pretty sure he'll see through that illusion.

In fact if you have a Prius with those bumper stickers, I would just stay away from that place entirely.
