Seriously though how bad is the GOP when Mitch McConnell isn't crazy enough for you?

So Mitch McConnell might face trouble in the next election for being too compromising.

Whoa, whoa, whoa!! In McConnell-speak, "bribery" is "free speech," so McConnell freely spoke with Matt Bevin.

So this makes Rand Paul the kingmaker in the coming Kentucky election.  This would be fine, except that I wouldn't trust Rand Paul to choose a tablecloth, let alone a Senator.

Well....shiat.  I'd love for this to be true, but farking NRO is reporting it.

"That said, there have been a number of people in Matt's life who approached our campaign for months, desperately trying to prevent Matt from making a serious mistake," he added. "They were concerned that he was surrounded by a small, fringe consultant class who stand to make money from self-funded campaign and wouldn't listen to reason."

That sounds completely credible.

The GOP has a binder fetish.

Isn't that basically every campaign now? Might as well rename PAC to ATM.

I don't know if I'd call him "crazy" -- he's calculating, cold-hearted, and Machiavellian, but he's very good at keeping his job.  You could say he's a sociopath though, that might be appropriate.

The Tea Party though -- that is a dangerous combination of crazy and retarded.

Good thing the T Party faked the bribe using small bills, they're much harder to trace.

I thought they only made shiat up out of whole cloth when there was a Democrat involved.  You'd figure they'd be a better source for R infighting.

This is the  very, very good thing coming out of this, provided Bevins stays in the race until primary day. Paul and McConnell  had a detente, during which Paul would keep any teabaggers from challenging McConnell in the primary, and if it came to it support McConnell, in exchange for McConnell not making too many waves that would disrupt a potential 2016 run for Paul. If Bevins stays in the race, Paul finds himself in a  lose-lose scenario: support Bevins and McConnell torpedoes Paul's 2016 prospects, or support McConnell and lose tea party support.

Sure, Paul's in a likely position to pick whomever gets the nomination in 2014 by endorsement, but either one potentially tanks his chances at running for President in 2016.

But, the second one is polysyllabic, which means to the tea party he's one of them "GOT DAMN LEETIS LIE BRUL DIM O RATS TURRST MERKA HATIN SUM BEETCH".

Justice Kennedy (wrote the decision)
Chief Justice Roberts
Justice Scalia (wrote another concurring opinion)
Justice Alito (wrote a separate opinion, fully agreeing with Scalia)
Justice Thomas (agreed with Scalia in part, presumably wanted the bribery backed by gold)

Sorry to say, but SCOTUS insists that bribery is free speech.  Remember that before electing another wingnut to the Presidency.
