I met her, fifteen years ago; I was told there was nothing left; no reason, no conscience, no understanding; and even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, of good or evil, right or wrong. I met this 25-year-old woman, with this twisted, pale, manufactured face, and the blackest eyes...the devil's eyes. I spent eight years trying to reach her, and then another seven trying to keep her locked up because I realized that what was living behind that woman's eyes was purely and simply...evil.

/How'd I do?

"So-called 'reality shows' often use editing and staged events to create contrived conflict situations. Film at 11."

Abbey Lee Miller looks like an amazing fat ass.
Perhaps when she turns 40 she'll realize she won't ever be a princess and will stop inflicting her psychodrama on innocent children.

Never heard of the show, but it sounds like someone just blew her chance at D-List stardom.

I dunno. Reality show NDA's can be rather nasty once they get their hooks in you. Who knows what's in hers.

My wife loves that show. She did dance for years as a kid, so it's nostalgic for her or something. I do agree with her that the kids are actually really good dancers that you'll be seeing in professional dance companies in a few years. But they have to throw in the ridiculous drama to fill out the other 38 minutes which is why I can't stand it.

You forgot about the legion of creepy 40 year old men who watch it for all the scenes of (pre)pubescent girls cavorting in dance costumes.  You know, the ones who Tivo every episode so they fast-forward through all the manufactured drama and hit the pause whenever one of the girls goes into a split?  Yeah, those guys.

Let's just say she'll be returning those checks at gunpoint and then some. Most of the NDAs are up to two million bucks if broken.

I had to sign one NDA about 14 years ago. It had to do with the format changing at a station I was at. The consequences were pretty stiff. But it was pretty cool being on the inside of a format change.

Never heard of this until seeing this headline... and I'll likey forget all about it in an hour. Wouldn't have ever heard of Breaking Pointe if the GF weren't a former ballet dancer/current ballet teacher either, but I'll believe that at least SOME of that isn't scripted since it involves a well-known (in the dance world apparently, I'd never heard of it of course) dance company.

For my part I'd prefer to think Storage Wars isn't scripted, but even I have a hard time believing that EVERY SINGLE UNIT that one of them buys has something in it that is worth being appraised...

From what is rumored a lot of networks are either run or have high ranking execs that are pedos.

I think the broadcast-network ones get up into the 3-5 million range. I've even heard about a 10 or two for the really big-budget mainstays.

Of course, now that I think of it, I've never actually heard about any reality TV personality that has actually triggered an NDA clause. I know Amy and Samy from Amy's Baking Company got real close to it, but they're the first I've ever seen where they even got a formal warning from the network about the NDA. I've never seen anyone crazy enough to actually get to the point where the network comes for the money.

I am, of course, willing to allow that it may have happened outside my field of vision.

Didn't jon and kate plus 8 go to court over the terms of the contract after the divorce? The network would look pretty crappy suing a "Real" person after they put them on their show.

Well it does seem suspicious, I can see Toddler and Tiaras having one show for maybe a season, it appeals to helicopter/soccer moms fantasy that their kid becomes miss beautiful since their fat asses cant. Problem is its not one show anymore, there are half a dozen.
Honestly all those shows that portray young kids especially need to be axed right away - Its simply exploiting children for gain - while putting them through pressure that they don't need. I remember visiting minnesota once and during an expo I was out having a smoke and talked to some fat heli mom who I asked "Why do you put your kid through such stress and humiliation at such a young age" her response was simply "I want my kid to be successful in life when I wasn't".

I left it at that, I feel bad for the kid, she was only 8 or so? going through some cheerleading camp. We all want our kids being successful, but we have to realize not every little Jack is going to be a Major league ball player, or Jill a successful CEO. You just have to give them the best chance and let them choose.

/ranting again sorry, in all honesty the most genuine person ive seen was none other then mama june and the fat little porker, she put all the kids money in a saving for college, something i doubt the rest of these freaks have done.

I don't know how true that is. Have you ever seen what they spend on the girls' show outfits? I have seen it were they spend up to 30k for an outfit. Most of them are spending 5k per outfit. After that there can't be much to put away for college savings. Saw one 20/20 or Nightline about these people years ago. They interviewed a few fathers about this and come to find out the fathers all had two jobs or a second partime job just to support the pageants. And all of them when asked what they thought about the pageants all basically said if it makes their daughter and wife happy then they are all for it.
