(WTOP)   If you've been buying your salsa at dollar stores, you might should know that there might be broken glass inside the bottles that can kill you. Of course, you're buying your salsa at dollar stores, so maybe sweet death would be an escape   (wtop.com) divider line 29

Oh?  And where do YOU suggest one might should learn English from?

I like shopping at the Dollar Store because it's convenient and casual.  I don't have to get all dressed up like I'm going to Walmart or something.

Jesus S. Smith, how hard is it to make salsa for farks sake?

here, i stole this off the interwebs:

Ingredients

1 cup chopped fresh tomato (one medium-to-large tomato)¼ cup diced onion (or to taste; white onion or scallions are particularly nice in this recipe)2 - 3 tablespoons cilantro, washed, stemmed, and minced (or to taste; some people like less than this)1 jalapeño pepper, washed, seeded, and minced (or 1 - 2 Serrano peppers, which are hotter)salt and pepper to taste  http://www.kitchenriffs.com/2012/04/salsa-and-picante-sauce.htm l

I've had that Dollar Tree salsa, it's as good as any you find in a supermarket. I was wondering what happened to all the jars.
Their chips though... my God they're bad.

There's a Family Dollar that's walking distance from my house. It's come in handy a few times- like during football season, when we were making wings and a guest wanted ranch rather than bleu cheese.

Not only was their satisfaction a mere few blocks and $1.50 away, but Family Dollar's store brand ranch dressing doesn't seem to contain HFCS. Their $0.70 hot sauce is decent, too. Not overly vinegar-y.

family dollar & dollar general are convenience stores + more at supermarket prices
if you need something quick and don't want to go into a big store, they're great places. also great for cleaning products, etc

/and you don't have to dress up

Ranch dressing is used to mask the flavor of whatever you put it on. You should have asked your guest to leave the party after such an insult to your food.

Hey-yup.  Apparently that's not a good place to shop for propane, or propane accessories.
