New Hampshire is (almost) nothing but transplanted Massholes south of Concord anyway, judging by the northbound traffic on 93 most evenings. Vermont is a crazy combo of total rednecks, hippies, hippie-rednecks (go to any outdoor concert in VT in the summer and you'll understand what I mean), limousine liberals, volvo driving rural yuppies and in the case of Killington, a weekend/seasonal population of the biggest a-holes from every urban and suburban area in the northeast.

well, we wouldnt exactly be comming to Canada, but you would be losing queerbec and we would form a supernation.

Something similar has been planned in West Wendover, UT. They want to succeed with Wendover, NV...because they're essentially one city with only a state border going between them. Since it's out in the middle of nowhere, the Nevada side's economy does well due to gambling, while the Utah side does not.

It's not a simple matter of a town vote. It takes at least congressional approval. Everything was all setup ready to redraw state boundries, both congressman from Utah and Nevada has the deal setup ready to go. Then Sen Reid from Nevada apparently got miffed by a Utah congressman not supporting him, so he withdrew the legislation.

So for now, the town is split in two.
