So you could also just cut off all their fingers and toes, and tattoo their entire surface area? Cause hey, they're passed out, anything goes!

too drunk to consent?
some girls only get laid if some guy gets too drunk to consent.
i'm pretty sure nobody is charged in those cases,

just saying

and if the man is legally and finacially responsible for an baby, regardless of his opinion, the woman should not be able to kill or terminate such offspring without his consent,

Not "morning after regret" rape?

Nor "we were both drunk, and she initiated, but it was the guy's fault" rape.

It's getting to a point that guys are going to have to carry a breathalyzer along on dates to make sure she's not over the legal limit of consent. Drunk people do stupid shiat, sometimes they regret or even don't remember the stupid shiat they do, that doesn't mean they weren't responsible for what they did.  I'm getting a little concerned about the precedent these kind of cases are setting.

Dude, only yesterday you complained that Dubai technically requires 4 male witnesses to prove rape. Here we have two adult witnesses who scared off the attacker and it's not enough for you? Is three witnesses the magic number or was it that Dubai specifies the witnesses need to be male?

I don't think being too drunk to consent to intercourse and drunk driving are comparable. Unless the car forces you to drive it?

Maybe drunken masturbation and drunk driving...

THE GREAT NAME: OK, the RAPE LIARs have arrived:

TatdGreaser and Nurglitch: The opinions given by the men in this thread represent a common view held anong a great many people (including many women). Your suggestion that they should be treated like dangerous criminals is a RAPE LIE.

ambassador_ahab: Your claim that only a small percentage of rapes are reported is a RAPE LIE.

All we need now is for some RAPE LIARs to try out the old "I was sort-of raped once so your argument is invalid" rubbish and the thread will be complete.

Hey, Mr. Expert Guy.  I'm a Criminologist.  Show me the statistics to back up your assessment that these are lies.

The one about "only a small percentage of rapes are reported" being a lie is already simply false because a small percentage of ALL CRIMES are reported.  This is what creates the "Dark Figure of Crime", that nebulous amount of crime that is greater than the amount being reported.  Efforts have been made to find ways to identify unreported crimes, and indeed statistics gathered using crime victimization methodology have found a larger number of victims of all crimes of all types at all times who did not report.

So, you have to come up with some form of evidence (difficulty:  Not from an MRA website) that rape is reported in numbers that come in stark contrast to every other crime in the world.  Get to it, champ.  I suspect this should not take long.

FatPrincess: Men are more evil then Girls.

Not exactly, you fail to see a serious flaw in your logic.

Men must invest this money and time to have these two equal a woman.

A woman doesn't invest in a man, but tried to change him.

So while

[woman = time and money she receives] to a man

to a woman: [man = time and money given / change ]

so...

man = evil /change (x)
and since change is an infinite variable, then this variable is fluid according to the woman and the level of change she wants to commit to,
so
man / evil * x

and

woman = time and money she receives, which can be infinite.

so
women = √(x²) = |x|

and we can formulate the results at this point:

man = fraction of the evil of a woman, the more she tried to change him, the more evil she is and the less he is.

and

women = absolute evil

imfallen_angel: No?

Sure but you are more evil.

Men, in order to be satisfied, need time, money, girls, and sex.
So: Men = Time * Money * Girls * Sex.
And: Time = Money
Therefore: Men = Money2 * Girls * Sex.
Also men want to have sex with as many girls as possible so: Girls = Sex
And: Girls = Evil
So: Evil = Sex
Therefore substituting for Evil we get: Men = Money2 * Evil2
Because money is the root of all evil we get:Money2 = Evil
In summation, by substituting Evil for Money2 : Men = Evil3 while Girls = Evil. Men are more evil then Girls.

This is my concern as well.

Guys commit "rape" if the girl is underage EVEN IF THE GUY DOESN'T KNOW IT.
Guys commit "rape" if the girl is too intoxicated to consent EVEN IF THE GUY DOESN'T KNOW IT.

Are men supposed to be omniscient like god?  We're supposed to magically know the age of everyone?  And we're supposed to magically know if they're across their individualized "I'm too wasted" threshold? (regardless of what MADD wants you to believe, everyone does have different alcohol thresholds)?
Even if you're in a 21+ club and they ID everyone at the door you're still not immune.  Even if the girl grabs you and pulls you into a park to have sex, you're not immune.

A few years ago in the UK there was a big scare about Rohypnhol and "date-rape drugs". We had advertising campaigns about "watch your drink" and so forth. Then, some researchers looked into all the cases of rape and all the cases where the woman was sure that she must have been slipped a roofie and well, it was actually a tiny percentage of them. Most of them just got drunk.

And there's even research been done into the effects of alcohol on women: they become like men. They will fark anything. A guy, yeah, we're more likely to fark an ugly woman because of alcohol, but we're fully aware that we do that. "oh jesus, no I didn't". Try and get out of the house before she wakes up. A woman believes that the only way she could have done it was under duress.

In my mind the case hinges on whether she was conscious enough to physically or verbally indicate consent or non-consent. If she was, then it wasn't rape. If she wasn't, than it is.

I think that's a standard most people would agree on - if a girl has a few tequila shots and then wants to have sex, it's not rape. If you get someone drunk, they pass out, mutter "sure" before passing out, etc, it's rape. Unfortunately, there's no legal standard. It's judged on a case-by-case basis, and you can breathalize people like in a DUI case. So if you have sex with a girl that had two beers, she could claim to have been too drunk to consent, and a judge or jury can uphold that.

The American justice system has some of the harshest punishments for men who commit rape and probably the most protection for women who are raped, which is great. But to go along with that, some things need much more legal guidelines to leave less gray area.

Here's the thing:

woman: you raped me, I was completely drunk and nearly passed out.
man: hey! I'm not a rapist! I was really drunk and didn't realize.
courts: sorry man, being drunk still means you are accountable for your actions

See, there is no contradiction here. Because the man undertook the action, and the woman did not. NOW if she was drunk-but-not-passed-out-drunk I'd agree with you. Also, I'm not lauding drinking culture here. I think if you are out alone and get so hammered you pass out in a parking-lot then you need an intervention. But you don't deserve to be raped.

The next time I get blackout drunk and decide to take a cruise down the interstate and plow into a van full of nuns and orphans, I'll be sure to mention to the prosecutor that I was too drunk to consent to driving that car. I obviously wasn't responsible for my actions because I was drunk, and I can't even really remember getting into the car or driving it. I'm sure that will work.
