Good.  Eddie Murphy sucks and has sucked for 20 years.  He was good before the suckitude set in but I fear there is no going back for him.

I would like to laugh and say "you suck" but after having all my favorite TV shows cancelled and gone to soon (RIP Firefly, Deadwood, Happy Endings, et al.) I can only assume it was awesome and I would have loved it.

I'm heartbroken.

That just means they haven't brought it to TBS yet.

Even NBC?

Thank god.

There are a few 80's movies that might make good TV shows. This is not one.

But think of all the 80's TV shows they've turned into movies.

the balance must be restored...

Add The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Moonlight  and Hannibal is hanging on a thread.

They just need to rewrite it to be set in a volcano which blasts out laser-equipped lava sharktopuses.  I'm sure SyFy would jump at the chance to air it.

I always thought Max Headroom should have been given a chance.

The best part of that movie was where Victor Maitland said "DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY!" and then Eddie Murphy shot him in the forehead.

I think you have it confused with the end of "Die Hard", where Eddie Murphy and Dick Jones shoot Don Ameche.

Nice to know I'm not the only one who remembered that.

You mean when the dad from That 70s Show shot Richard Dawson.

Ah, the 80s.

Meh, too many fish out of water cop buddy procedurals out these days. Bones, Castle, Mentalist, Perception, Rizzoli and Isles and some others who's names I don't really know and without some rewrites this one wouldn't even have the "will they or wont they" sexual tension

TBS will try anything.

Love the group & tune though!  Vid is pretty cool, too. Except for all the TBS logos everywhere.

I'm surprised there isn't a Beverly Hills Cops reality show.

Maybe there is, I dunno.

I'd much rather they did a show on 'Flight of the Intruder'. Eddie Murphy can resume doing the UFO voice, but it's too bad Don Ameche won't be back to help save those pod people. Poor guy

Im sick and tired of these nepotistic storylines.  Every single beloved 80's-90's icon is being given a mini-me offspring who acts like a whiny biatch while their infallible patriarchs hover around refusing to die.  Why can't John McClane have an overweight son that makes custom dildos?  Why are these elderly men still jumping around like feral kitty cats when their hollow abused bones should be snapping like twigs at any given moment?  Can we not have an action star progeny rise up out of his father's shadow to grow as a person through his own merit?  Nope, daddy's gotta be in the back seat talking down at the guy through the whole movie.  You know why it wasn't so bad when Indiana Jones old elderly dad was with him?  Because he acted like an old elderly dad, not vomiting out catchphrases and trying to out-Indy Indy.

Seeing that every network has turned it down, I can only assume that this would have been one of the greatest tv shows of all time.

Oh... OK. Well thanks everyone for letting me make up my own mind and keeping shows like Sullivan and Son on the air.
Oh, and thanks for the Big Bang Theory, NCIS, Law and Order, Family Guy 4 hour marathons to fill space.
