Okay, that even made my cynical old heart skip a beat.

I am going to state here that unless she does something ridiculously scummy or horrendously annoying, I WILL NOT participate in any way in the inevitable backlash that she will get simply for being popular.

Team Lawrence for life.

FlashHarry: god, she's freaking adorable.

Thirded.

I'm so impressed that she managed to resist touching him or giving him a hug. I don't think I could have had that kind of self control if I met Jeff Bridges. Jennifer Lawrence is seriously adorable. I really loved that interview where she gets all embarrassed because Jack Nicholson started hitting on her like 2 minutes after he met her.

I'm disappointed that now people I have never heard of, in films I've never seen are now popular and well known. It's just like Grampa Simpson said :( They changed what "it" is, and I'm not with "it" anymore :( I'm getting old.

The cuteness is in this thread, with all the star-struck farkers.

I'm sure I'd be all a-tither, too, if I were gay.

I see your point, but she is a very smart and talented actress. See "Winter's Bone" if you don't feel like checking out "The Hunger Games" (which she is also great in.)

AND she's possibly an Achiever (and proud we are of all of them)?

Oh, this lady is nice.

I would gleefully eat the corn out of her sh*t.

I hated The Hunger Games and I've never seen Silver Linings Playbook.

But, her after-oscar press conference was awesome.

Huge fan.

Did you read Hunger Games? I did not and I enjoyed the movie. I've heard some who read the book didn't like the film.

What I think is also cool is that he appears to have no idea who SHE is, but is still gracious. And she's reasonably intelligent--probably picked up on that, but didn't go all, "Jennifer Lawrence--you know, from the Hunger Games...also Catching Fire, coming soon to a theater near you..."

Then again, she is still very pretty. Pessimistic Me wonders if he would have been equally gracious, had it been Gabourey Sidibe interrupting his interview..

Nope. Just couldn't get in to the movie for whatever reason. I turned it off when Woody Harrelson walked in on the train.

All that and now we find out she's a Lebowski fan.  That girl is going to marry the worlds happiest geek one day.

I think my favorite Jeff Bridges movie that not so many people have seen but should is  Fat City, which is also my favorite boxing movie.  He's not even the best thing in it.  Susan Tyrell is brilliant in it as the down on her luck lush, she was even nominated for an Oscar (quite deservedly she's brilliant).  Unfortunately it seems she may have been typecast.

2013-07-23 06:23:04 PM
Which is to say she may have actually been a down on her luck lush.

After actually watching the video, "What's your favorite character you've played?  Does it rhyme with 'The Schmude?'" says she IS an Achiever, hehehe.  Sweet.

/and proud we are of all of them

I saw no reason to put down Gwyneth Paltrow in the article.. otherwise, yeah, Jennifer Lawrence is adorable, and several other positive attributes.

I'm assuming that a great deal of her public persona is a carefully crafted act.

And I'm 110% ok with that. If my kids grow up with her as a role model, fantastic. She always comes off as adorable, I never see anything about her on TMZ, and she does, in my opinion, great movies with great acting.

In the age of Amanda Bynes and Lindsey Lohan, it's refreshing to see an entertainment figure that is doing her best to be a good role model and showing her fans how to act like a genuine and interesting person.

She did hug him. Guy in front of the camera blocks most of it, but she did it nevertheless. Still a nice display of genuine adoration.

Maybe she can recommend a new agent so Bridges doesn't continue to end up in things like the steaming pile of excrement known as R.I.P.D.

Already has Seventh Son coming.. looks like another mess.

She is so gross looking.  She looks like she had a face transplant from someone who was a lot heavier and the surgeon didn't bother to trim it.

Her and Alison Brie need to team up some time, although I fear the universe wouldn't be able to handle it.

Don't you deny your mother's portrait lemony!!!

Lawrence is very talented and beautiful to boot, but this part of her I've never liked. She is playing the part of the adorable cutester, and everybody's buying it. That requires a certain malice that goes agains the nice grain, and it will not go unobserved by me. That is my opinion, and still I don't like her less for it.

Now, don't you make me come back to this thread no more.

Greetings.

I dunno, she's from Louisville.  They're pretty down to earth people there.

As opposed to phallic, like a man's dick, or "rod", or "Johnson"
