Yanks_RSJ: All this back-and-forth between Michigan and Ohio over which one is better.  Who gives a fark, you're still Michigan and Ohio.

Ahh, there is that New York arrogance....

I live in Columbus and every die hard, crazy ass buckeye fan I know (which is a sickening large number) think this is an extremely classy move and have good things to say about the whole situation. The only people that seem to be cockbags about the whole thing are the fans that post to internet message boards, which is just further proof of the John Gabriel theory.

I hope "Michigan" never even shws up for another game. Good luck kid, you honestly have two whole states rooting for you to win.

gopher321: Still no cure for Detroit.

Oh we do, but we found out that nuking it from orbit wasn't covered by our health insurance.  Apparently being Detroit is a pre-existing condition.

Big Merl: I've honestly never met a bad Ohio State or Michigan fan.  Texas fans however...

In my experience the worst fans of the rivalry are those who never went to either school.

the1hatman: As a season ticket holder I have been on both sides many times. I simply have not seen any overt acts of violence or even any real threat towards UM fans at The Shoe

Not so much in the stadium, but I've had crap thrown at us and our group has been threatened when walking to the Shoe.   By the same token, I've always treated Buckeye fans with respect at the Big House (other than normal taunting...i.e. Go Blue, Buckeyes suck).

Fade2black: mjohnson71: Fail to subby for not putting THE Ohio State.

/Drives me nuts

Actually it drives even more people nuts that pretentious douchebags think any school has "THE" in front of it.

Also there's the fact that it's not even farking accurate.  There's something like a dozen state universities in Ohio.  An Ohio State University would make more sense.

On another note, this kid is such a little bad-ass.  Fark cancer.

slayer199: I have respect for Meyer and the Buckeyes...Ohio State fans...not at all.  Then again, we have more teams in Michigan worth mentioning than Ohio State's football team.

I'd also add that even Michigan Hockey, where taunting the other team is damn near an art form, it stops as soon as the players leave the ice.

the1hatman: What a bitter bunch some of you UM fans have become over the last decade or so. Take a trip back to the original thread for this story and read up on some the UM backers that were giving a kid fighting cancer hell about this. Or just pretend your side doesn't have some of the same crass losers as everyone else.

Not really representative of Michigan fans...because the DetNews, Freep and MLive articles have comments where everyone is cheering the kid on and hoping he beats "Michigan."

Oh, and Ohio State fans aren't a rabid and bitter bunch?  Have you been to a Michigan-Ohio State game on enemy turf?  I've been to both home and away games and I will guarantee that Michigan fans are much kinder to Ohio State fans on home turf than Ohio State fans are to Michigan fans.  I have respect for Meyer and the Buckeyes...Ohio State fans...not at all.  Then again, we have more teams in Michigan worth mentioning than Ohio State's football team.

You know unless the crowd kills the kid or something.

I've never heard a story of Michigan fans being violent towards visiting vans in Ann Arbor.

As someone who has never set foot on either campus I'll say fans of both teams are worse than Raiders fans, but at least the Michigan program seems to have a little class.

Some?  Of course.  When you have as large of a fan base as theirs, you're going to get some of everybody.  The difference, obviously, is that the majority of Ohio State fans are like that.

But way to go undefeated when it doesn't matter.  Seriously.  That's just great.

Hey, we cheered when your school got rid of its cancers.

The rivalry was getting kind of boring with them around.

Probably the 3rd string running back who will be playing by the second half of the first game once AIRBHG has done his thing.
