Beats the rat turds in the other bars

Doesn't matter.  All energy bars have protein powder in them, so no matter what all other ingredients are in them, they all taste like drywall.

I don't understand why so many people get so worked up at the thought of eating insects.

/Of course, I also don't understand why women avoid me after only speaking to me for a few minutes....

Yet they love downing lobster.

This means I could be rich! I can't walk in the backyard without being swarmed by grasshoppers. I hear they are the tastier cousin of the cricket.

What ever happened to the cicadas? I was going to try to eat some of those but I never saw any.

Me too...but I'd still eat one.

Same here.  I can hear some of the little buggers outside, but I never saw them emerge, and I don't see any of the abandoned husks like I usually do.

There's a very nice mexican restaurant down in Washington DC that serves a grasshopper taco (http://www.oyamel.com/images/uploads/Oyamel_Brunch_Summer2013.pdf ) .  I got one on a dare.  It wasn't good, but it wasn't horrible.  Mostly I wasn't a fan of the texture and visual aspect.  Those aspects should not be present in the bars, which use cricket flour.  So I'm going to predict that these bars may yet succeed.

Certainly better than Spring Surprise, that's for sure.

I've had cricket, grasshopper, ant, cicada and cockroach.  None of them were bad.  Depending on how they're prepared, they can even be good.  At worst they didn't taste like much at all.

I've been there and tried one.  I thought it was overseasoned.  Their spicy shrimp tapas dish is delicious, better than any of the tacos I had.

And their hours margaritas are fantastic, so I hope you tried one.

God I hope cliff bars don't get an idea from this. They already have some strange flavors, but rock facing and mountain climbing shoe tread?

Clif bars are an unholy amalgamation of rice crispies and carpet foam.

The downside is that when you walk, your thighs rubbing together makes a chirping sound

As some one who has kept crickets in his house for his pet lizard, I can tell you that crickets are nasty little creatures closely akin to cockroaches, and if their smell is any indication of how they taste, well... fark that.

Wow, the youtube has a slight bit more information (than I care to see) versus the one on my cable tv feed at the start of the final hot springs section.
