I feel like there was an article when William and Kate got married about how Americans are so enchanted by the idea of royalty. Also, I think a lot of it was because of Princess Di. Everyone loved her. EVERYONE. So here's her son getting married, having babies... I think everyone is transferring that love of Di to Kate now. They see her as the new Princess Di.

I, for one, feel that Snape would be an apt middle name.
