MLB has awarded her with a hit, which means she has a better average than Tyler Moore

I think the Phillies fan looked even more ridiculous for paying $7 for a can of Bud Light, but that's just me.

Not much sympathy for someone who can even afford that seat. Probably some lobbyist.

It's only fitting since she probably took balls to face to get those seats anyway.

Yeah, gotta say, while that not really what you expect to happen I have limited sympathy for anybody in those seats. They get the absolute best seats in the house (usually with waiters and all inclusive food/beverage service) and spend the entire damn game on the phone after arriving in the bot 2nd.

Screw those folks. If you aren't in your awesome seats at game time they need to grab somebody from the cheap seats and give them an upgrade.

You are a bad person and you should feel bad for making me laugh so hard at her misfortune.

akula: spend the entire damn game on the phone

Looks like her phone is what took a direct hit, which seems fitting somehow.

Let's put it this way: that net comes down and those seats get a hell of a lot more affordable.

I was at that game but missed this. It must have happened about the time my eyes started rolling back into my head.

The chick that got hit was watching the game quite intently.  The chick sitting next to her?  Yeah, if anyone deserved to get hit by the ball, it was that chick.

She didn't have a phone and was staring right at the play.  The ball bounced off her hand (which was up by her face) and then bounced off her shoulder.

At that distance, it doesn't matter if you're watching the play or not. That's not even comebacker distance, and with a comebacker, at least the pitcher knows the ball might be coming at him. A foul comes at you back there and the net fails, you are getting smacked with the ball. The end.

It hit her in the shoulder, she grabs it immediately. The ball first changed direction when it hit the net, not her hand.

Half the world lives without indoor plumbing. Maybe you should die in a fire.

Huh, yeah, you're right.  My description was wrong.  "direct hit to the phone" is wrongest.

Yea it just looked like it hit her hand first.  It's like an optical illusion or something.  She def got hit in the shoulder.  She probably would have been knocked out of her chair if she got hit in the hand/face.

And it only cost her $300-$400 bucks. What I want to know is who the hell are the two guys with mustaches who have season tickets a few seats over from her on the left. I don't think they've missed a game in at least a couple years. Not sure if they work for the team or are Lerners or are just die hard fans. Any other Nats fans ever notice these guys?

/except the older one has replaced the other guy with an Asian woman since the all star break.

The dudes are sitting above the O and the A in the Toyota sign right now. Never miss a game.

I'm not rich but managed to score third row seats behind home for the Sox and it was awesome.  Have pity for me.  Some usher randomly upgraded my son and I as we entered the park.

Here we are watching Pedroia smack one out - my son and I in red.  He gapes, I calmly sip my overpriced Harpoon (that our dedicated waitress brought us).

/csb

//everyone around me (other than the guy that owned the tickets I was using, to my right) was a d-bag.

///especially the loud woman behind me who wouldn't stop calling her friends to tell them to watch her on TV
