Super_pope: Ultron once decimated a country and arranged the corpses in a mosaic of his face the was visible from space.  Ultron is one bad mother.

-- Shut yo' mouth!

/He's a complicated bot, and no one understands him but Jocasta.

Orgasmatron138: 2CountyFairs: Mad_Radhu: Grotesk: Dingleberry Dickwad: So if we're getting Ultron without Pym, I'm gonna go with the others saying that Stark has something to do with his creation. So does this mean we're going to get a Jocasta based on Pepper? Because I'd totally love a hot liquid metal Pepper walking around the movie.

:: Shakes fist, totally agrees ::

But, if Tony Stark creates Ultron instead of Hank Pym, does that mean Tony is going to backhand Pepper?

In her current post-Iron Man 3 state, won't Tony break his hand trying to do that?

How so? I seem to remember it being mentioned that Extremis was successfully removed from Pepper. I believe Tony's narration mentioned it when he, himself was going under the knife to remove the arc reactor and shrapnel from his chest.

Speaking of which, why was Stark able to get all that shiat removed from his chest?  Why didn't he do it right when he got back from the middle east, or when he was dying in IM2?

Tony said he'd "Fix" Pepper. He didn't say he'd remove Extremis, just stabilize it so she wouldn't explode or die or whatever. Then he shot himself up with Extremis 2.0 (or 2.5 or whatever) so that he could survive having the big metal can, ARC reactor, pacemaker and magnet removed from his chest without having to get a transplant and have a giant hole left. Since he's ...well, Tony Stark... you can bet he tweaked the version of Extremis he gave himself so that he has more than just a one-time healing factor. Even in the movies he wouldn't be the sort to let such an opportunity pass. So with Avengers 2 and later, expect Tony and Iron Man to have lots more stuff he can do. Also, hopefully, we'll see Pepper as Rescue with a purpose-built suit. And War Machine should get some Chitauri tech so he can be more like the upgraded version from the comics. Not to mention Tony might try to work out some Chitauri and Asgardian tech now that he can have an overclocked central nervous system and nuclear metabolism. Which brings us back to the whole Movie Ultron thing.

Thanks.  My wife and I usually sneak a flask of rum into the movies to go with our cokes, so I don't always pick up all the details by the end.

Satanic_Hamster: Fano: Lurk sober post drunk: I just hope in the Pym movie they cut down on the wife beating. I mean seriously, that guy is like constantly beating his wife.

I printed myself a pic of Ant Man and put it on an iron-on transfer. Oh my yes that went on a sleeveless undershirt.

Give him credit, he's a stylish wife beater in Ultimates

That more looks like wife murderer then beater.

In the Ultimate's version he actually did attempt to kill his wife and at first thought that he had done so.

TV's Vinnie: FirstNationalBastard: Ultron is a metal guy created by Hank Pym.

Ultron, in turn, created the Vision.

And the Vision was created from the ORIGINAL golden-age era Human Torch.

[i41.tinypic.com image 446x436]

ACTUALLY,no, he wasn't. Jim Hammond, the original Human Torch , was still around. The body that became The Vision was a duplicate of the Human Torch created by Immortus.

When did Ultron start looking like Ghost Rider had a baby with the machines from the Matrix?  THIS is Ultron:
[www.worthpoint.com image 200x374]

What number is he up to these days? I remember Ultron-6 and -7.

I don't know if they number him anymore, but he was up to Ultron 16 and 17 in 1999.

There was a storyline in the early 2000s where Ultron took over a country and made hundreds or thousands of himself. So I think it's around 4-5000 or so.

He didn't just take over a country, it killed off it's entire population, and like you I had thought it was in the early 2000's but checking my pdf files, it was in 1999.  Here are the covers from back then:
