quatchi: Bathia_Mapes: quatchi: If nothing else ya got to admit that is a better headline.

Exactly. That's why it got the Repeat tag.

It's an entirely different kind of headline altogether.

So the bombs were either inert or unarmed. So they couldn't explode to begin with, unless there was some major fark-up.

The bombs were also jettisoned far away from the actual coral reef itself, probably into that dead expanse of sea floor that only gets life when a whale carcass falls into it. If anything, the bombs probably just became the new future homes to marine life that otherwise wouldn't be there.

The bombs were jettisoned because it's illegal for planes to land with loaded weapons on board? That... doesn't much much sense. I mean if they were inert and/or unarmed... they wouldn't really technically be considered weapons, would they? I mean they're just really big weights at that point. So is this just another form of retarded bureaucracy that says they count as weapons even if mechanically they aren't dangerous, or is there actual a reasonable risk these things could have blown up?

The hippies are pissed about it because they have to get pissed off about something. The government probably did the barren sea floor a favor by adding some obstacles onto it. They say the government is bombing the reef when... they didn't. Except in the loosest form.

Assholes in the government. Assholes in the news media. Assholes calling the government out.

Just so that I am clear, 2000 pounds (~8 fat men) are dropped into the water and its newsworthy?

How much damage was done during the creation of the resort in the picture? That deep channel that allows the yachts to get in and out isn't a natural feature.
