TuteTibiImperes: The whole Georgia-dude execution bit fell flat though, it certainly didn't need as much time this episode as it got.

I think it's more of Don's way of coping/dealing with the thing with Maggie.

TuteTibiImperes: Even more so, the whole romance subplot thing going on needs to get tossed out of the window.  The best scenes are the ones where they're covering issues, arguing about how to frame things, digging up information, and dealing with the fallout.  I don't care if they all go home alone or all go to a communal loft to screw each other till the break of dawn - their personal lives aren't interesting television.

it's a distraction from the "all news all the time" thing. You need a break to make the characters a bit more personal and, frankly, without interpersonal relationships both romantic and not, it becomes a very dull show very quickly: "oh hey, they solved another world's problem...whoopieeee.....*changes channel*"

human drama is what draws us, no matter how much we hate to admit it.

plus, there's always promise of a Maggie/Sloan/Sorority Girl threesome with Charlie watching and making hilarious drunk comments....

"GIVE IT TO HER, MONEY SKIRT!"

rugman11: Kveld: Never got into this show, and judging by the number of posts I'm not alone.

It's kind of hard to comment in the middle of the show.  It's not really an OMG RED WEDDING! type of show.

Tell that to every Lost or Breaking Bad thread.

TuteTibiImperes: Cool, last week was mostly setup for this season, I'm excited to get some meat tonight.

I dunno. We did get that great line:

"The Taliban was offended."
