Speed still shows racing?  I had no idea.

Yes!

I watched the race last weekend. Marquez appears to be fearless.

Mitch Taylor's Bro: Go Nicky!

/ hahahahaha, nope. :(

Yeah, he will be at the end of this year.  Sad end for one of the nicest guys on the track.
But that Ducati is a dog. Even Rossi couldn't make it go. I hope Crutchlow doesn't go there like the rumors say. He's better off at Tech 3, OK they're not full factory but better the speedy Yamaha than the embarrassment from Italy.

Really looking forward to this race. Should be a good one if Marquez doesn't just disappear out front, although he's looking good for his first visit. Man, I'd love to have seen Stoner ride next to this kid. They are so much alike.

/I still miss Marco Simoncelli.

Awaiting the start of the event as I write this in Jakarta. Laguna Seca is a poor choice of a place to crash and hurt yourself (compared to the usual Tilke-designed Mickey-Mouse gokart courses). Either Lorenzo or Pedrosa could put paid to their championship hopes if they were to go splat here.

Veterans' experience counts for a lot at a circuit like LS. Don't be surprised if Rossi, Dovi or one of the other old-timers nudges his way through.

/ Corkscrew! Whoopy! (Remember Doohan clipping that one? Whew.)

SpeedyBB:  Laguna Seca is a poor choice of a place to crash ...

That'll be turn 3, then.
And Rossi has a great chance if he makes a decent start. Although the Yamahas aren't looking as happy as the Hondas, the latter locking out the font row.

I walked down Cannery Row and looked at all the bikes last night. Quite a turnout this year.

My guess is coverage at 4:30, race at 5?

it's not that, it's that the streams were supposed to be started at the right time, but none were and so far the only working one is from al-jazeera's sports. All four or five working ones have that, no EuroSport, no Speed, no any of the any other usual networks.

and the race starts with a bunch of retirements in the first few laps

I'm watching Nationwide now. Looks like both races may finish around the same time.

The Gold Cup game turned out to be more exciting than I thought.

nothing like teammates rubbing on the front straight...in a motorcycle race.

All's well that ended well, though.

If Edwards can find a ride, so can Nicky, but he'd be lucky to get a satellite team to pick him up. I hope he does get on a competitive bike, maybe LCR Honda needs a development rider?

I thought it was a great race. And, yes, Marco is still missed. Sad to hear about the World Supersport rider who passed away today in Moscow, too. I have not followed WSB/WSS for a few years now, but it always sucks when a racer dies at the track.

Been wondering this for a while...why the Fark are sports articles in the FarkUs tab?

Boring race... I live 30 minutes from the track and I'm glad I didn't fight the crowds.

Marquez's pass for the lead was about the only interesting thing. Other than teammates trying to crash each other.
