I am going to add my condolences because one (or all) of them are going to get caught up in a terrible moment, so go ahead and bank that. BUT, in the meantime, he can teach some of the YOLO and fireworks videographers how to hold a camera steady.

This guy is a complete idiot.  He's playing chicken with a freaking river.  Trip over one stone while he's trying to outpace it, and he's done for.

Someone in the YT comments pointed out he could just use a remote-controlled helicopter with video cam and shoot from above the flood and follow it.

Makes a lot of sense, but is part of this the thrill for him getting out of the way in time?

Also, very cool video. It is amazing that that came from 40 miles away. I do wonder how long that flow lasted.
