I couldn't be happier that the "consultant of the Citizens for Community Values" is named Mangun. After all, this whole case is about mishandling your mangun in your own home, now isn't it?

If I had been a juror I'd have laughed my ass off at the frivolousness of it all. I would have laughed at awkward parts in the movies, hopefully there was shiat eating! And I would have said this is the stupidest trial I've ever been a juror in, but at least I get free porn!

Someone wants to tell me that I'm not allowed to look at boobies? It must be that the terrorists have already won.

I always thought that "obcinity" and "community standards" laws mostly existed in cases that somebody's putting people in a position to being forced to see something that most people argree is obcene, not having to go into a store to look at it.

At least, as they say, "justice prevailed".

"That is, the material appeals to the prurient interests, is patently offensive and lacks any artistic, scientific or political value." This covers just about 90% of television shows now.

As I sit and wonder why we don't instead spend our valuable resources (time & money) catching and prosecuting child molesters, purveyors of kiddie porn etc. I'm over 21 and what I do in my house is my own damned business whether it be smoking, drinking or partaking of porn. This is Thunderland®, it's mine, bought and paid for, the farking government is not welcome inside unless I invite them in.

I notice a pattern lately of the government doing anything and everything to get in our homes and our pants. It's enough. I'm flying my own flag , writing my own constitution and creating my own bill of rights. Come inside my door and you better know the rules or you will be expelled, that badge won't be big enough to save ya'.

GREETZ TO FB

Democrats try to outlaw smoking in your own home. Republicans try to outlaw porn in your own home. Makes me glad to be a libertarian Aztec druid.

All the store owner wanted was a "Well Hung" Jury....heh heh, but got full acquittal, must've had Johnny Cockrun as his attorney?

Yippee!, what a great Country huh?

This is interesting. I used to work for the Yellow Pages here in KC, and one time I was creating an ad for the Oklahoma City Yellow Pages. It was for a porn shop in the Kansas City area, but he was advertising with his KC address & phone number in the Oklahoma City book. When I asked the sales rep why, she told me that in Oklahoma (at the time, at least) it was illegal to sell videos that showed penetration. Apparently, some sooners were willing to drive across a state to get their XXX films.

Well, it's nice to know there is a prosecuter in my state that is still living in the '50s. Maybe he'll try to have the "commies" in South Bend convicted of being un-American next.

Isn't it funny that most women don't get pissed off about porn until it's THEIR man viewing it? Personally, as long as it doesn't involve children, mutilation and snuff, porn's not offensive to me. I find the slasher movies with blood, guts, decaptitations, and gore far more offensive than porn.

And after they get their names in the papers, the idiotic fundie prosecutors go on to become judges! Well, can't really say they're idiots, I guess - they ARE accomplishing their goals by getting their name in the papers, self-serving bastards.
