...orderly dissolution of the United States government.

Psilocybin is a helluva drug.

Still more sane that any of the GOP hopefuls.

2013-07-20 05:22:00 PM
Not wanting to BE POTUS, just wanting to run for POTUS. More profitable to lose these days.

2013-07-20 05:24:23 PM
And I love how he can't run in 2016 because he won't be old enough. By 2020 he'll probably kill himself licking an electrical outlet.

I don't see why anyone would want the job anymore.

One half of the country will hate you; the other will give you because you're compromising with the first half. And you get blamed for everything

He told Fox 5 that he is 70 percent disabled due to his military service and currently relies on government assistance to get by.

How does this douchebag get 70% and Tammy Duckworth only get 20%?

How may of these government hating Brave Patriots subsist on the government's teat?

I think that maybe, just maybe, you've overestimated your popularity, Adam.

Then again, maybe you are not so much a serious candidate as an attention whore who sees an opportunity to get a lot of really f*cking stupid people to pay attention to you, and maybe even send you money.

Ask Ted Nugent to be your veep; there'll be no end to the legions of pathetic teabaggers who will send you money.

There's always a crowded bag of nuts trying to get at the top of the bag. The only thing that keeps us from seeing a voting ballot 100 pages long is that only the best nuts get to the top. Then all but one get cracked. That one gets to grow older at an accelerated rate compared to the rest of the nuts in the world due to stressors. Just look at before and after pictures of presidents. It's a stressful job. But some people thrive on that.

A Fairfax County judge first refused Kokesh bail after the activist refused to walk to his arraignment or acknowledge the court during questioning. A judge later offered to release Kokesh if he posts $5,000 bond, but a week later he remains in custody.

He sure doesn't mind wasting tax-payers money so I guess he's presidential material after all.

The "at this point" really pushes this to 11.

Why do I feel like 2016 is going to be like the California governor elections where everybody in the world ran for the position?

2013-07-20 07:27:23 PM
Pro tip: When running for office, it's a good idea to find out if that office actually has the power you think it does. Sure people run for city council all the time on a platform of being anti-abortion but those contests have a bit less attention paid to them. Eventually someone is going to point out to this guy that not only does the president not have the power to eliminate the federal government, he doesn't even have the power to eliminate his own position.

Not that it matters. There are thousands of guys just like him who are delusional enough to honestly believe they will "open the eyes of the sheeple" and become president. The only reason why this one is getting attention is to fill rt.com's quota of nuttiness from the US.

That's what I think happens to every person that becomes President. "Now I can do this! What do you mean that's not how things work?"

Hey, I'm gonna run for president in 2020 too! People will look back on that election in 2020 hindsight. Here's my platform:

1. National Tax Raffle. Every month a lifetime exemption from paying federal income tax will be raffled off. Tickets cost a thousand dollars.. A painless way to extract from the wealthy the money they fight tooth and nail not to pay in taxes.
2. Nationalize the nation's art museums and auction off all non-American art. The top ten painting at the Met are probably worth a billion dollars all by themselves. This will eliminate the National Debt.
3. Linkage between the abortion and capital punishment issues. If abortion is legal, so is capital punishment, and vice versa. They are both morally indefensible policies which nevertheless perform valuable social services. Either keep 'em both or ban 'em both--I don't care which.
4. Withdraw from NATO and immediately close all American bases in Europe.  Ditto for Japan. Do we have to wait for everyone who was alive during World War II to die before we can extricate ourselves from those commitments?
5. Moon base. A permanent moon base is not only immediately feasible but, in the event of a disaster, a credible rescue mission could be dispatched. Mars is nice but ya gotta crawl before you can walk.
6. The Room Temperature Superconductor Prize. Offer a ten billion dollar prize to the first person to develop a feasible high temperature superconductor. After a year it would be reduced to nine billion, after two years to eight  and after ten years the prize would be withdrawn but you know what? I think the prize would be claimed within three years, and after that our energy problems will be permanently solved. We'd be able to microwave power down to the Mojave Desert and power the entire country from it.
7. Womb-to-tomb social welfare for anyone who wants it--young, old, male, female, able-bodied, disabled, you want it you got it, on one condition: you have to go to school, eight hours a day, five days a week, fifty weeks a year. I don't care if you study basket weaving but you gotta study something. This will permanently solve our welfare problem within ten years.
8. Most important of all: the International Sign Language Initiative. Fully fund the development an internationally agreed-upon sign language and then make sure it's taught in all the schools on the planet. In a single generation everyone on earth will be able to talk to anybody else. And that, gentlemen, would be truly transformative.

Clambam 2020!
