Or about 25 years old. Or trolling us. Or all 3.

Or anything off of Abraxas, his best album IMO.

Another gem he did with John Lee Hooker, with a wicked solo Chill Out (Things Gonna Change)

Lando Lincoln: Do I have to do everything around here?

Yep, that's a 16 year old Neil Schon playing with Santana before he formed Journey.

Done in one. And two.

Subby must have been 10 when that song came out, because there is nothing that he did prior to that abomination that wasn't better. That album was the most cynical cash-out ever made. Sure, Carlos deserved it for past services rendered, but he phoned that one in.

Some young people have an appreciation for great things from the past and realize that many newer things are over-commercialized crap.

Seeing Santana in concert was one of my favorite moments being alive.  I grew up listening to his music as my father was an experienced hippy and allowed me full access to his record collection when I was but a wee moosey.  The only thing that could top seeing Carlos play that guitar live would be seeing it with my dad beside me.  Thanks for all the great music, Carlos!  Happy Birthday!

Well all right

If I'm remembering correctly we performed this at a college air guitar contest. Thanks fsm this was pre-internet days. My job was to get us all high enough to release our inhibitions but not so high that we were drooling. Good times.

his 1974 triple live album LOTUS is incredible. Try and track it down. You won't regret it.

As soon as I saw this wasn't Everybody's Everything, I rushed to youtube to watch it.  One of my favorites.

Whoa, the Vet stadium show in '82 was better than that.

/now go mow my lawn!
//that show was part of the Who's 1st "farewell tour", weak sound system by most standards

He's only 66? I'm surprised by that.
