(RIA Novosti (Russia))   Just a reminder - if you steal a fox from a circus in retaliation for being fired, wait at least a month before walking it around town on a leash   (en.ria.ru) divider line 21

In other news there are "circus foxes".

I see the article has already taken its sunglasses off and indicated he was outfoxed...

Why would anyone walk a fox on a leash?

Oh for fox sake

I'd wear it as a stole around town. No way anyone would notice.

/say thank you for the set-up

I saw "fox" and "leash" and thought this was going to be a Furry thing.

Thanks, Fark.

Was it one of the Festrunk brothers??

The fox was probably just attracted to their bulges.

I...um...well at least I don't have to have "Fox Furry Bondage" in my search history. So...so that's nice.

Now I'm just sad because I've never seen a circus fox. Do you think it wore a little clown suit like those trained poodles?

Actually a Fox on a leash is not a totally impossible situation, i remember reading in National Geographic, last year that some Russians had bred domesticated Foxes and they were used as pets, this may be one of them

Oh I totally get it. And I would love to have a pet fox that could be leashed.

My comment was more like "why the fark did my brain immediately think 'Furry'?"

puddleonfire: FTA: His motives for taking the animal remain unclear.

FTA: Gennady Pyatibratov, 24, is suspected of stealing the fox, called Eva, in revenge from being fired from his job as a traveling circus assistant for neglecting his duties, Zabaikalsky Region prosecutors said Friday.

In a short article, there's conflicting pieces of important information. Does any one read these things before they go on-line? I think his motives are in fact fairly clear.  So not only is he now unemployed, if caught, FTA, he could go to jail for at least a couple of years.  And with this article going viral, his chances of being caught are pretty damned good. But if he doesn't get caught, he has a free fox for a pet and the pleasure that he denied the circus the pleasure of having the fox.  Well thought out...
