Oddly enough, that movie also has the most intimidating robot ever.

Maximillian would skull-fark a Terminator.

That's what I thought.  They're vehicles.

Honest Bender: Recognizers weren't robots.

I came in here to make this very point.  With all the lame robots out there, they couldn't find 10 and had to throw in a vehicle that has no robot characterics?

I disagree on Brainiac. All his forms are scary, except that future humanoid teenager one that's a do-gooder, I think he calls himself Brainiac 5?

Also, Recognizer is a way more terrifying name than Stomper. If I was a mafia hitman or a fighter pilot, I would kill to get Recognizer as my call sign.

Wow, another list. How do they do it.

No Quarks? They're meant to be weapons and are far less intimidating than anything on their list.

And if you MUST put a Recognizer in, try using the Legacy version.

I never thought the balloon was supposed to be scary.  I thought it just added to the general weirdness of The Village.

Yep, this is a great thread to prove how much farkers didn't bother to read the article, which clearly stated that the list was not "cute robots", but robots that were intended to be evil and destructive to humanity but, in the end, didn't come off that way.

So, no Small Wonder, Tom Servo, BOB, Twiki, Johnny Five, etc. etc.

Notice that most of those robots were from the '50s?  Special effects was not Hollywood's strong suit at the time.
