Music is not a race with a winner. If you think so, you've already lost by missing the point completely.

I don't care if she's been playing for 15 seconds or for 75 years. She's smiling, and she's made a lot of people do the same just by hitting stuff behind the kit. That's exactly what music is there for - to evoke feelings out of people.

To everybody who says: "She sucks, <insert link/name here> is better" - regardless of her skill set, she's already proven that she's a better musician than you, even if you are a better player.

This. Glad to see the 'ol gal hittin' the skins, but this is really rudimentary stuff, and isn't consistent even within itself. This is something that anyone could learn to do in a couple of weeks.

God, you people farking suck. Really, you suck. fark you.

Typical retard drummer responses.   HERE'S THE THING GUYS, YOU ARE THE LEAST TALENTED PEOPLE OF EVERYONE IN YOUR BAND, AND NO ONE IS LOOKING AT YOU WHEN YOU PLAY.  YOU ARE A METRONOME - KEEP THE BEAT AND SHUT UP STUPID.

go back and say that to Louis Bellson or Art Blakey.  Age has nothing to do with it.  She's not that good.

She's much better in the second vid. The problem in the first is the uneven tempo. She's a former professional drummer who started out in some kind of marching band-type thing and went on to play in a touring country band.

But I'm sure all you cool kids rock way harder than granny here does, what with all that practice you get jacking off in the shower.

Hate to break it to you, but grandma would be neck-deep in pussy after her set while you were still trying to get the waitress's phone number.

As a rudimentary drummer I thought I'd chime in.
She's pretty good! I was impressed. She moves around the kit nicely with her rolls. She kept the hi-hat hitting constantly through all of this. "This is something anyone could learn in two weeks?" Hardly. I am not a great drummer but I've been taking lessons for a few months now and only now am I learning good hi-hat control while using the ride - and I still think about it in relation to the kick drum. She obviously learned great seperation abilities with her left foot.
And I was in bands for 20 years as a guitar or bass player before I switched to drums. Let me tell you, I spent my life thinking drummers were morons. NOT NOW. The co-ordination involved in playing drums is far different than the co-ordination in play almost any other instrument. Guitar, you learn to finger this note while picking, move on to the next note - faster and faster and faster (and cleaner), but the "all muscles move at the same time" thing still applies. Drums, that all goes out the window. I just learned to play "Train Kept A Rollin'" and it took me quite a few days until my limbs would do what they want. Quarter notes on the hi-hat, the funky beat distributed among kick and snare. And it's not like you learn it bad and then get better, it's like when you learn to ride a bike - you fall down, you fall down, you keep trying, and then it all clicks in your muscles. You start wobbly but then "got it" and you don't know why you couldn't do it again. Then on to the next exercise.
Anyone who talks crap about drumming hasn't tried it.

Much like the proverbial poker playing dog, it's not so amazing that she does it well, but that she does it at all.
