You pronounce it phonetically.

I saw that movie on TV back in the late 70's.  Bad, but scary because well, I HATE SNAKES!

So, the once-vaunted Time magazine is doing Cracked lists now?
Astro-Zombies is a fine name for a cinematic vehicle, as is Plan 9 From Outer Space

It's oddly satisfying.  Like finding out one of the really snotty rich girls from high school became a crack whore.

Those movies rock.

No "Q" ?

House II rocked!  I kept hoping to see 'Bill E&A' in other films as a recurring cameo good guy.

I actually saw Ssssss  at the theatre. :)   Cobras with no Rikki Tikki Tavi...  and one of the snakes in the movie drank bourbon..  I thought it was cool then..

I really like the concept behind "House 2". "Attack of the Puppet People" has promise as well.

Can't these lists of superlatives have a threshold of movies that people actually saw.  As in maybe at least 500,000 paid to see it?  Because It's pretty likely there's a video somewhere of a guy jerking off on an Alien and Ripley action figure, and that would be among the worst Sci Fi Horror movies ever made.

House 2 is awesome. I also question the judgment of anybody who thinks the first one was supposed to be serious horror.

When ever I see mention of the movie "Death Bed: The Bed that Eats", I have to wonder about the pitch meeting for that movie.  How out of ideas where they that they had to go with a demonic bed.  That should not have been the time to say "Yes, this is going to be the next horror movie.", but say "You know, if the monster of our horror movie can be taken to the city dump and forgotten about, maybe we should either come up with something scarier or take the production money and just buy some drugs."

master of unlocking: House 2 is awesome. I also question the judgment of anybody who thinks the first one was supposed to be serious horror.

Yeah House 2 was fun. Nothing really scary about it though. And how dare they think Santa Claus vs the Martians was a bad title. My brother found that for me in a 2 dollar DVD bin one year and it gets watched every year at christmas.

I also must chime in that "House II: The Second Story" is a brilliant title, especially for such a campy silly film.  It had Bill Maher in it for fark's sake.

House 2 was a staple of daytime HBO back in the day.

A lot of those movies sucked because of budget reasons.  It's not quite as fun to pick on movies with no budget, but it's immensely fun to pick on 'real' movies that manage to suck despite getting studio backing.

Jeepers Creepers, for example, was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

There are a number of instances there where dude lets the quality of the movie determine whether it's on the list instead of the quality of the title. Plan 9 From Outer Space isn't an amazing title, but it's hardly a horrible one, that's on there purely due to how awful the movie is.

2013-07-19 12:02:54 PM
Um, many of those are absolutely fantastic movie titles.

Well, if having Bill Maher in it is a deciding criterion, how about Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death?

Also, list fails without Night of the Lepus.

Nah. Wood, with no talent and no money, was trying to make movies he could be proud of. Asylum and Syfy are intentionally producing crappy filler.

Okay, I'll admit that I haven't even heard of most of those.  But I watched "Sssssss" with my kids last year because I happened upon it on TV.  I have no idea what network was showing it, but I vaguely remembered it from my younger days and I just had to watch it again.
