Without porn who wants college? I am old enough that porn was only available on 8mm film. I am a Christian and to the right of Genghis Khan but trying to reach people with the message of G#D by banning stuff ALWAYS works. What genius came up with this plan, let kids be kids.

The single biggest irony is that by and large, those who enjoy the sexual most, that have the most frequent sexual intercourse, are those who follow the Judeo-Christian way," fagan told TIME.

And yet you can't even say the word "sex." I'm sure you're a blast in the sack.

The Family Research Council

That is as far as I read.

2013-07-19 08:55:53 AM
I want you both to know, good luck, we're all counting on you.

2013-07-19 08:59:46 AM
I don't think it matters much.

1.) there is so many readily available women who will fark you in real life that you don't really need it.
2.) porn finds a way.  You just can't stop it.

2013-07-19 09:02:28 AM
Good luck with that. While they're at it, maybe they can stamp out unmarried sex and drinking.

2013-07-19 09:21:12 AM
Yes, reveal yourselves!  We've got the AG of Virginia trying to make blow jobs illegal and now they're trying to ban porn.

2013-07-19 09:32:52 AM
Let's just get it all over with and and ban the following:

According to his research, those who are exposed to porn as young adults become desensitized to its dopamine rush, which can lead to the pursuit of distorted fantasies involving children, the invalid and even vampires.

NOT VAMPIRES!!!

It's surprising they haven't figured out a way to do it like they do everything else - attack some other aspect of it in an attempt to enact some rule that doesn't outright ban it but makes it pretty much impossible to obtain.  You know, kind of like they do with requirements on abortion clinics.  Or by claiming vag wanding is for "education".  They could get some uber-biased doctors to do a study for the heritage foundation that claims carpal tunnel syndrome increases 500-fold for kids in college and is most likely caused by snake wrestling.  Then extrapolate that this is going to hurt the U.S. entry level work force as a whole and cause associated medical costs to rise which will drain trillions from the economy.

There's a time and place for everything. It's called college.

Of course there are no citations; there never are.

In a 2013 fact sheet without footnotes or citations, a Christian vendor of Internet filtering software called Covenant Eyes claims that 24% of smartphone users store pornographic material on their mobile devices. The organization says that 79% of porn performers have used marijuana, and "politically liberal people" are 19% more likely to look at porn than others.

Sounds legit.

Good luck with that one!

Ha ha

I imagine this effort by the Family Research Council was the result of decades of intensive researching porn, especially of the German, gay, BDSM variety.

fagan thinks that college students will choose "abstinence over porn?"  If you're being abstinent, that's when you need it the most!  "Ahh... got my visual fix with no exposure to pregnancy, STDs or anything else."

So from a fight whose tide turned drastically in just 5 short years, they want to move to one they lost 30 years ago?

Don Quixote laughs at your feeble shenanigans.

If it weren't for the stupid bullshiat coming out of some GOP politician's mouths, I would suspect that the Family Research Council was a false flag operation designed to make conservative Christians look bad.

It's interesting, b/c I've read the Gospels, and Jesus spends a whole lot more time on telling people to be good human beings and love each other than on how,  exactly, to utilize their genitalia.

2013-07-19 10:03:48 AM
yes because although God made man in his own image, you aren't supposed to look?

you! hetero marrieds? remember! only with the lights off!

you! young unmarried students with sex drives? it's the devil - back to your text books!

The FRC is so detached from reality they make me feel bad for caring about my family, or the importance of the family unit in society.  I'm all like "F*ck families and their chicken fingers and waffle fries with lemonade!"

Your error was in assuming American Christians have read the back of the Bible, much less the red letters.

It's hard having a political philosophy based on being certain about how right you are about all those things you're very wrong about.

Who needs porn in college?  Student residence is basically an alcohol-fueled orgy anyway.
