Sadly, the production values won't meet the high standards set by Sharknado.

So, what is nationalized health care then? You know, like Great Britain and our Canuckistani neighbors? Are they just reeling in their own ill and abused thanks to the state run health care?

Please.

What we did was subsidize our insurance companies. We made the middlemen more secure. And all the nailing of hands to brows? The lady doth protest too much...

And you never see a Canadian or Englishman wish they could have the wonderful health care the Republicans support. But many of them have a delusion STILL, after all these decades, that somehow the USA is the greatest country in the world and everyone wants to be like us. They honestly believe this. Because let's face it, Republicans are ignorant and delusional human beings who shame our country.

I actually think they take it as a matter of faith, like Jesus being real. The USA is the best country at everything, everyone wants to be like us, and we are the best at everything.

To tell them otherwise is to soil their minds and upset them.

The only question I have is, why would Taxbongo attack the American people with a tornado that has his name on it?  Why now, when he has used the Obama Weather Machine to previously send regular tornadoes at our citizens?  I hope Obamacarenado II comes out soon.  I need to know the answers to these questions.

About a month ago I spent a day with my dad at my little brother's college graduation. He kept telling this long story about how great Netflix was, and how (largely as an anthropological experiment) he'd decided to watch Dawson's Creek. He considered this a big deal, because the fact that it had a gay character had was largely responsible for society deciding ten years ago that being gay wasn't some horrible abomination, and also now all the other sitcoms feel the need to have a gay character.

And the less snarky response.

Right now, unfortunately, there is only one side that has the answers. Because the other side, the Republicans, decided in 2008 that they were going to become nothing but petulant children crying "But, my guy didn't win" in Congress and not do anything. Or do you forget Mitch "Turtle" McConnell standing up and saying that his only goal was going to be to make Obama a 1-term President. Beyond that, all the Republicans have managed to do effectively is take away women's reproductive rights and restrict minority voting at the state level. They have not actually done a damn thing. Their "attempts" at putting up a healthcare alternative are laughable.

And FWIW, I would love, just louvre, to have a healthcare system that matches some of our European friends. In fact, there are a lot of social structures in Europe that I wish we had here. But we don't. Why? Because "socializm".

And people like you who want to blindly insist that there are two legitimate sides when the other side is nothing but a bunch of farking children holding fingers in their ears singing "la la la" and dirty old men trying to stick ultrasound scopes into women's vaginas. We no longer live in a country where there are two legit sides to a great many issues. It is sad, but face it. Your side farking sucks donkey balls (when they're not farking chickens).

Context matters son. No one in this thread had ever suggested that Democrats are the only party capable of governance or rational thought. Your "corrections" seem to imply that this was the case. But all you did was project your hurt fee fees based upon a false premise into a genuinely accurate comment on the policy positions of providing health care to Americans.

In this case, the Democrats actually did something beneficial regarding reform of the American Health Care markets. And the Republicans have been shiatting themselves about it for 4 years now. Your biased correction only serves to flag you as a partisan hack who's over sensitive about this fact of life.

I don't think anyone here at Fark expects you to care about being in the killfile, because comment corrections like the one you made above kind of paint you as knee jerk partisan incapable of independent thought.

"According to the GOP..."

Well, there's your problem, right there. The GOP are completely useless unless you're a regressive ideologue or a wealthy, plutocratic asshole prone to reading children's books by Ayn Rand.

My family and I were helped immensely by MAHealth when I was unemployed and we still have our health insurance through the Ma Health Connector (our exchange). Best insurance we've ever had. Covers more and costs less than any of the plans we've had through former employers.

The GOP's alternative is "fark the poor". No thanks,

What's tragic is that in the Mirror Universe, the pitch was for "Octonado" rather than "Sharknado". It was of course terrible and jeered loudly by Twitter/the internet, and Tara Reid never got a chance to do a sequel. On that sequel she would have met Lorenzo Lamas, and the two would have fallen in love. Tara would have eventually slept with Lorenzo's son Alvaro, and they would have had a child named Rainbow Palmtree, who of course would have been destined to become the greatest YouTube actress the world had ever known, primarily known for her work in the groundbreaking series "2 Minute Naked Hospital Lawplace".

I can't tell if this is brilliant or not.

The first two statements stand in almost complete juxtaposition to the third, and the poet is challenging us to be aware of the conflict, though the logic initially seems to follow, and despite the fact that the speaker himself seems not to see it.  The reader is struck that there is something inherently wrong, but it takes a moment to do the mental arithmetic, and arrive at the author's (intended?) absurdity:

1.  85% percent of Farkers are uniformed to the point of being incapable of intelligent conversation.
2.  They believe whatever their party tells them, and are incapable of independent thought.

Followed-up by:

3.  Making flat generalizations about others makes you difficult to reason with.
