Fark Me To Tears: So the mother is claiming that most restaurants aren't family friendly? Really?

WhippingBoy: Gabrielmot: Fark Me To Tears: So the mother is claiming that most restaurants aren't family friendly? Really?Actually, yes.New dad here. I was in your position a few years ago, and my wife and I know that screaming kids ruin everyone's meal out. Now that we've had a kid, we occasionally still want to go out. We do it when the restaurants typically have no other customers... either late or early for lunch, dinner, etc. (just in case the kid starts a screaming fit, in which case, we take her outside -luckily so far, she's been an angel in restaurants, not a word). However, to give you an example of how kid unfriendly restaurants are... we went to Chipotle (which we both love) and the baby soiled her diaper. So we went into the restroom to look for a changing table... nothing. We asked the management if they had a changing table... nope.Did we change her on our dining table? No, we packed our food and left.Next time you go out, seriously look for things like changing tables, and then look at how clean they are. If you find one, most of them you wouldn't want to put your kid down on, even with something to cover the surface. Target, Babie's 'R' Us, Walmart, your local grocery store... you know... places where you'd *expect* to see kids... these are atrocious. One day, if you ever leave your parent's basement and order a mail order spouse and end up with a kid that may or may not be yours... you'll understand how difficult companies make it for parents, and how difficult a dirty diaper can be to solve when there's no where to change it. When poop is literally *leaking* out of a diaper (diaper explosion), you really can't just go to your car and sit them down to change them because the business you just went in decided not to spend maybe $100 on purchasing a changing station, or 10 seconds of time cleaning it once a day. While we wouldn't do it, I'm starting to understand why some parents change their kids at the dining table now. You should be mad at the owner ...
