That Lewis Black FU to Texas last night referenced sushi pizza.  I doubt Fong's Pizza is any more extreme.

Anywho, good on them for not freaking out over a mammary gland used in the appropriate way.

"I usually don't go downtown for dinner because lots of places aren't family-friendly but I had heard good things about Fong's," Johnson-Smith told Yahoo! Shine. "It was chaotic-I had one kid licking the honey container on the table, another standing on his chair, and my baby was fussing."

And that's why restaurants aren't "family friendly."

Your children are horrible!  They are not society friendly!

I realize this is isn't typically a place for "serious" comments but it hit a nerve with me. We just had a kid and had been told from day one, "breast feed breast feed breast feed" and made to think that if you aren't breast feeding you are doing something wrong. Well, come to find out my wife is in that small percentage of women that just doesn't produce enough milk for our son to be sustained on. All of that to say this, if you can't breast feed it's okay and the health of your kid comes first. Also, if you see a woman not breast feeding it doesn't imply she's a bad parent.

Now that the rant is done: I would love a crab ragoon pizza.

Well, you lactation-lackers are supposed to go find someone else's breast milk, maybe pay for toxin/disease screening, and cough up $50 a pint!

So the mother is claiming that most restaurants aren't family friendly? Really?

I haven't been in a restaurant in the past several years where families with screaming, disruptive. misbehaving brats were ever turned away. In fact, those families usually wind up sitting somewhere near me, and then I get glares from the parents if I even look in the direction of their noisy little ADHD snowflakes.

As for breastfeeding in a restaurant: I don't have a problem with it. I agree that doing it discreetly (covered, like this lady was) is typically going to get you fewer stares and whispers from various people (including other people's kids).

What I have a problem with are parents who won't discipline their children when they're misbehaving. Oh, and parents who feel the need to change their baby's diaper at the table, rather than taking it to the restroom. I'm all for throwing out the entire family in either of those instances. Restaurant managers who tolerate this nonsense are actually hurting their businesses in the long run.

Breastfeeding in public campaigns remind me of Green eggs and Ham. In the dark, in a park, in the rain, on a train. In the boat, on a goat, in a tree, out at sea....

Just be discreet, and I'm sure it'll be fine. No need for "Atta girl" notes.
Or should we make people feel bad if for some reason they choose not to breastfeed publically?

Up to 2 maybe, I had an aunt who breastfed her kids until they were almost 4. Talk about disturbing.
