I smell another cheap cartoon crossover.

it would have been terrible in 1999, because that was during the suck reign of the simpsons, as all the talent seemed to have been drawn to futurama then.

Pff.Family Guy has more quotable lines anyway, and it's more relevant.

I thought they already did and (spoiler alert)

Quagmire banged Marge and killed all the Simpsons.

Well to be fair, The Simpsons have already jumped everything and still survived over a quarter of a century.

Peter, "Oh my god. I'm actually sitting here talking to Homer Simpson. This is like the time I made fun of Homer Simpson."
Meg, "But dad, you've made fun of Homer lots of..."
Peter, "Shut up, Lisa. Nobody likes a know it all. And another thing, Duff beer sucks."
Lois, "Now Peter, be nice or they'll pull the rug out from under this episode."
Quagmire, "...at least it'll match the drapes, awww yeah."
Lois, "Well not in Marge's case."
Peter, "Yeah that hairdo is closer to a Corinthian column."

Because the standard isn't 1999, the standard is what else is on TV right now.

Archer would kill Stan Smith dead. They may both be huge assholes, but at least Archer is competent at his job.

And of course there's already been one Archer/Fox crossover:

I agree he would win, but stan breaks out mad skills on occaision.

Much like archer, it is almost second nature at times, and incompetence at others.

Is "The Critic" available on Netflix?   If not, I thinkthat crossover episode needs to be included in a BuzzFeaturedPartner list "17 Simpsons References That Millenial's Just Don't Get"

I have it on good word it will be the worst episode ever.

My favorite little touch in that scene was everyone looking horrified at the bloody mess, except Louise, who looked a little excited.

Hmmm, I got tired of new Simpsons episodes about 14 years ago, and got tired of Family guy about 5 years ago. I'll pass.

Simpsons from the past 14 years are awful. Family guy since the return is awful. No thanks, Jeff
