QJ ! you're back ! been a while since I have seen QJ productions... thanks.... here,s one of mine...

Thanks! It feels good to be able to edit again. I need to replace my screen calibration tool
because it won't work with Win 7.

[reneau.smugmug.com image 498x600]

There's a cheesy calibration tool included with 7 (Start -> control panel  -> display -> calibrate color) or you can google for an online calibration site. One of these can at least get your display in the ballpark.

I'm looking for a good one myself.

We had old friends visit us earlier this week...I told them the story about when I had the metal plate & screws removed from my ankle after my fracture adventure.  I was disappointed that the surgeon wouldn't let me watch the operation.

You are not the first I have heard this from.  A Chiro friend of mine had a lovely little old lady patient who fell into the bath tub she was cleaning and never again had sciatic pain.

Yeah, I know we have discussed this on Caturday before, it just still fascinates me that the first thing a doctor will recommend is a series of stretching exercises. Hey doc, I can barely stand without screaming, and you want me to do WHAT with my leg?!?

I did some horse-trading to get my first one years ago. It worked fine with Vista,
The software absolutely refuses to install, it says there are known incompatibilities
and there is no software upgrade.

Here are the calibrators I'm considering.
Either the Pro or Express models.

We have the Spyder 3 Pro model and it works great!

To be honest, I never had that first problem with Vista.
Everything worked, everything ran, no surprises, no bluescreens.
I couldn't understand what all the negative press was about.
It was pretty stable and seemed bulletproof for me.

A couple of years ago I had horrible sciatic pain, I could hardly walk, but after carrying two 40 lb. boxes of kitty litter from the garage into my house the pain went away completely and hasn't returned.

I guess I was Dr. Lucy's first (and only) successful cure.

At least he goes from Vista to Win7, I'm have to go from Vista to Win8. Although I've found a win8 expert who's cute and has an Australian accent - I think I'll be needing a lot of help very soon.

I have to admit that was my experience with Vista too - it seemed okay to me. I'll have to deny it if you tell any of my techie friends I said that though.

Happy Monday, everybuddy! Today I hit the hardest part of the Super Secret Lair of Infinite Doom organization project - the big bookshelf. NOOOOOO! I could clean the whole house in less time than that's going to take me. Also, the closet. But most of that stuff isn't even mine, so I'll end up with a lot more storage space once I clear that out. I think I'll start with that, then move on to the bookshelves, all of the stuff on there definitely being mine. I'll ponder the logistics while I start another pot of coffee.

micro pleased to see/read you again after a while.  Hope all or at least Much is well with you.
tigerose, as OlderGuy sorta said, helps to have a TF that auto-magically recurs. That's if one has enough Discretionary to put down for a yr's worth, but then must deal with PP again.  Which reminds me, I need to fix my sm business website.  Update prices & say I can take PP, which may include Regular Credit someway.

2013-07-22 11:45:11 AM
Yup. Going to need to do the re-curring TF. I think I'm hooked! I'm currently investigating doing an e-pub of my poetry. I am going to call it "Caturday Mewsings" and I'll just start with the earliest ones that I have. I think. Anyone have a recommendation for a site to use? There seems to be a zillion out there. Most that I've seen are for regular books. Dunno if I could format my poesy to look right etc...and then I'll have to do a cover! aaaahhhh!

Speaking of poesy...before the end of the thread, I promise! RL needs to settle down and let me think!

Target Builder: Cat For Adoption - Please Help - DC/VA/MD- Can Travel (Re-Post w/ Updates)

Hi Caturday Farkers - I am in need of help in re-homing one of our cats, and am hoping someone on here may be able to help. The cat in question is one of the best cats in the world and we are sure whoever adopts her will be thrilled to have her. She's the sweetest and lowest maintenance cat I've ever seen. She's a fluffy marshmallow cat that loves cuddles and cheap cat food.

Question: Why is one of the best cats in the world up for adoption?
Answer: We have three cats - Momma-Cat, Beast-Cat and Douche-Cat. We adopted them as a package deal in Dubai when some asshole tried to drown some kittens outside our apartment; one morning we woke up to the sound of Momma-Cat screaming over the bucket her kittens were in. A quick fishing trip later we were the proud owners of two kittens and a momma cat. They all got on great until two years ago when we took the momma cat to get her teeth cleaned - from the moment she got home she has been in a fight with one of her kittens, Beast-Cat (now grown up into a 16 pound monster twice his momma's size). We have tried everything but with no luck and have come to the conclusion we need to find her a new home as the regular ass-kickings she's getting are taking their toll on her.

Target Builder, please send me your contact info...I know someone who recently lost their cat-animal and may be interested in Momma-Cat. EIP.

tigerose, you mean Eli wouldn't like to be a CoverCat? If indeed not, there've been so manylurvly blanks posted that your selection's endless! Wait, that's just one of the problems ...  Sadly, have zilch good ideas for publishers.  That's something I couldGoodSearch.  sometime
