I know in my city there are a few people involved with our Linux user group (of which I am a member) that will re-solder new ones as a little side business. Likely to cost you $15 to $50, if you can find a local person. Worth looking into and getting an opinion (you can usually see right away if some capacitors are bulging and not looking normal). If you have some experience with soldering, you may want to try yourself (with some help from le internets).I had the same thing happen to me last fall due to power surges in the building (the wiring in here is not great despite the building being only 30 years old). After I got the computer settled out, the first thing I did was go to Costco and buy APC-brand UPS.Wait, this is Caturday.I mean, Meow.

gremlin1: neurofunkin: Well that was easy. I'm going to meet a lady that breeds Savannah cats who happens to live about 2 miles from me. She has kittens from an F6 generation available. They are expensive though. Still not sure about this, but I get to meet some Savannah kitties!/I feel like I'm cheating, I work at a shelter and I'm now going to a breeder to inquire about purchasing a cat.As long as they are a responsible breeder I don't see a problem with purchasing a cat.I have only one cat ,Gremie. But I have had many dogs, walk ins, humane society, hunting dogs, and show dogs. Some cost money but all were loved and I hope I was a responsible owner . I only had one litter(on purpose) and I had families for the pups.Sometimes you just have to get that animal you've always wanted so you don't regret it later , just make sure it really is something you can bring into your home. I still want an Irish Wolfhound , I may have the yard for it but I look around my house and tell myself there is not enough room for both of us.
ThePuceGuardian: The foxtrot continues at a more languid pace. (And, to clarify, noone named Charlie has cancer. Charlie is merely the bandleader. "180 bpm" refers to the intensity of the tempo he called.). Dad's been discharged following brain surgery, and is staying with relatives who live handy to the hospital. There is still no telling what the future holds. The biopsy is still not back yet.Wait and see, wait and see. It's like watching the dealer turn over the cards, not knowing if an ace is coming or a Joker. For now, the most stressful part is past. I'm returning home to catch my breath while I can.
yobbery: This one makes me chuckle. It's not often he has a derpy look on his face.
