I remember when I learned to make split pea soup. Man, I loved that stuff! I ate about a gallon of it in 2 days. I found out peas have a lot of fiber.

So, what's the best way to get peas? With a knife! Exactly! Not with the olive branch, but the bayonet.

Making fun of peas like this. You should all be ashamed.

The funny thing is this pretty much works with nearly all fruits and vegetables. Replace your snacks with watermelon and you can have the same results. Fiber and water are great for keeping you full and healthy.

Potatoes might make you fat, not so much peas.

this. it makes me lol when people go on about fruit sugars and how you'll get a sugar spike after an apple

really... you won't. you'd get sick eating apples before you got fat

I eat my peas with honey;
I've done it all my life.
It makes the peas taste funny,
But it keeps them on the knife.

I think in all seriousness that I have dated that person...

As in, that actual person in the picture, not the concept.

Anyone know if that was a picture taken in the UK?

My grandmothers split pea soup is great and it is so friggin easy to make. Although getting your hands on a ham bone isn't exactly easy and I don't really like making it with ham hocks.

I nice hot bowl of split pea soup with a couple slices of buttered jewish-style rye bread.. yum! Now THAT's a meal on a cold winter day.

split pea soup is the business, although you can't go far wrong with any soup with a good, homemade stock

She started out at around 289 lbs, gave up the bad stuff and after two years dropped to 171 lbs. Thank you Google stone to pound conversion guy. I know you probably have a really crappy cubicle there in Google Central Command and you are far away from the people who do image searches for me (Dear Gawd! He's looking for Markie Post bikini photos - Again!") but you still work for Google so that's something to be proud of.

You know how you catch a polar bear in the arctic with an icepick and a can of peas?  You did a big hole in the with the icepick and spread the peas around the hole.  When the polar bear comes up to take a pea you push him in.
