...oh no, however shall I survive...

She does realize that the theater and other performance venues aren't any better, right? If anything, print is even more brutal. Of course, she can sit back on her money off Weeds, so she'll be OK. Of course, she might not attract so much attention, if she put a bit more into playing her role beyond looking like she sat on a pin or was holding in a fart for her emotional range, but that's me and my mean spirited opinion.

I am trying to care.  Not working.

2013-07-17 01:56:31 PM
I like her, and think she's pretty talented.  She was great in The West Wing before Weeds.  Her character on Weeds wasn't always the most likeable, and there are a lot of people who can't seem to separate the actor from the character they play, like all of the people threatening violence against Jack Gleeson for his portrayal of Joffrey on GoT.

Like the fist of an angry god.

I loved her in RED.

Plus she's got that look where you think she's innocent, but you know she's a freaky, freaky girl.

FTFA - "she thinks she's just too thin-skinned and sensitive to deal with all the "mean-spiritedness" online"

Somebody should gift her TF and she can post in the Politics Tab a while. It would toughen her up.

//like the fist of an annoyed God. She's been off my radar for a while.

I loved her in those "I Know What You Did Last Summer" movies.

Been wanting to break off a piece of that since Fried Green Tomatoes.

Yeah, but I hated her as Lori on The Walking Dead.

"The world has gotten too mean for me, it's just too biatchy. All the websites and all the blogging and all the people giving their opinion and their hatred ... it's all so mean-spirited, it's all so critical. [...]

I completely agree.  I've chosen a strange way of combating it, being a TFer, but I agree.  The internet is great for amplifying the farked-up-ness of people.  I don't know that the world is any more farked up than it has ever been, but a lot more of humanity's asshole tendencies are on display, and most of it anonymously, which emboldens the asshole.

Maybe just give up the internet, not acting. I can't imagine what it would be like to deal with being a celebrity in this day and age.

I think it's the goofy smirk she does that really sticks with me for some reason.

I think its less the anonymity (after all assholes on FB arent usually anonymous) than it is the physical distance from their target and the belief that they will never ever be in the same room as the person they are shredding to pieces.

Can I say the same about Amy Adams? Tell me you don't get a big ol woody in the bar scene in Talladega Nights.

She does full-frontal nudity in Angels in America.

Just in case you were wondering.

Recently seen her in several interviews since that Red 2 is coming out... She came off as surprisingly vapid and unintelligent.... Sure, she's a pretty gal, but it was dissapointing to me.

She has a point. Between the paparazzi following celebrities around like a pack of wolves and everyone blogging their opinions about them, it would be tough to be famous in this day and age.

We live in a time where people have forgotten how to be civil to one another. It's no longer enough to simply say you don't like something, you have to say it sucks or it's a piece of shiat. That band is shiat, that movie sucked ass, etc.  You see it every day here on Fark, top 10 worst movies of all time, the 20 worst bands in history. You look at a list like that and you expect to see a bunch of obscure crap nobody has ever heard of but instead you get a list of popular things that the author simply doesn't like. Mark my words, history will look back on these days and they'll wonder what the fark was wrong us.

I honestly don't know how anyone continues to act or play sports after they make a couple million dollars.

I would pull a Barry Sanders the minute I made my first million. I would have my compound built in Wyoming for like 300K and I would invest the rest with monthly annuity payments.

Beer, video games and fostering rescue animals until I croaked.
