He was failed by his family? Seriously? The same family that produced a brother who tried to help him? The same family that, save for one uncle, has been on his side since his arrest? Failed by them? THAT'S what being failed by your family looks like???

They were supposed to raise him as a God Fearing American. They failed miserably.

I would assess such a family as a failure.

kinda, if they took a shiat on him and his brother instead of "being on their side" they wouldn't have failed them, it's like a junkie whose parents buy him/her smack...

This.  Being successful in this sense isn't about supporting them unconditionally.  It's about raising them so that they don't bomb innocent people.

On the brighter side, it's good to see a magazine not blocking its title with someone's head. It's retarded when you don't know what magazine it is.

Buffalo77: Up next,

Time Magazine's Man of the Year.

Possibly.  Given that Time's Person of the Year is meant to designate the biggest newsmaker of the past year, and isn't meant to be an endorsement of the particular person's behaviour, it does stand to reason that Tsarnaev could very well be awarded that designation, even though there's still a lot of year to go.

Or were you taking a shot at the evil "LSM"?  Internet commentary is so toneless.  I just can't tell anymore.

2013-07-17 12:02:01 PM
If Rolling Stone had any real guts they would put the killers of Michael Hastings on the cover.

Honest question to anyone here; outside of Matt Taibbi, is there anyone on RS that is "relevant" in any way?

I used to have a subscription to them up through maybe freshman or sophomore year in college and have paid virtually no attention since.

somedude210: Should be an interesting story. I look forward to reading it.

You know, every likes to act superior and trot out the "Why do we glorify these people in the news" bullshiat all the time. It's kind of annoying, people want to know what makes these people do what they do, what went wrong, what could have been changed. It's not "glamorizing", it's a basic human need to know and learn. If they never talked about people like this, they'd still continue to do what they do, whether it's a serial killer like Gacy, or this Tasaramadingdong guy...

/Now, a bunch of made for TV movies, on the other hand, that is going to far...
//I'm looking at the "Long Island Lolita" shiat here...

"Time" magazine's Person of the Year for 1938: Adolph Hitler; for 1979: the Atatollah Khomeini.

The Unabomber was on the cover of "Time" and "Newsweek."

Being the cover-story of a magazine isn't necessarily a good thing. All these people having a hissy fit need to read the article before they start spouting off about "glamorizing" this asshat.

For fair consideration: the resulting title is entirely appropriate.

I can't tell if you're agreeing with me or not but I'll assume yes. I think his story is an interesting and not as "cut and dry" as his brother's. I think the kid knew what he did was horrible and feels remorse for it, it doesn't excuse at all what he did but at least we know he's human. Still, I want to know what made him tick like that.

Maybe people will start putting his image on tee-shirts and selling them. True, he only maimed and killed a few people, but he's bound to become a hero to a legion of useful idiots.

"THE NEXT TERRORIST/MURDERING INCIDENT, BE IT ANOTHER BOMBER, OR A MADMAN WITH AN ASSAULT RIFLE, UNLEASHING FIRE UPON A SCHOOL FULL OF CHILDREN, IS ON YOU."

So which magazine is responsible for bombing at the Boston Marathon? Or Sandy Hook?
