Beats working at WalMart.

Nordstrom is in the company of Costco in treating their customers and employees right.  It's still family owned, and I would shop there if I could afford it.

I used to work for Nordstrom. I couldn't afford anything even with my employee discount.

I only like Nordstrom for their e-bar and their pomegranate smoothie.

When asked whether he will ever stop working at Nordstrom, he said, "I will keep on working until I can't work anymore."

That's going to be an interesting day when he stops working.

As with most things, timing is key. I just caught one of their clearance sales, loaded up on a bunch of dress shirts for about $30 each. Nordstrom is one of the few places where I can find my size (16/36-37) on the rack.

Probably one of the sharpest-dressed old farts around.

In all seriousness, I can only hope to be so active if I were to live this long.  Or be surrounded by hookers and piles of blow to go out with a bang.

I remember strolling into a Nordstrom store with some friends once.  I checked out a basic Ralph Lauren long sleeve polo shirt, then saw that it was priced at $90.   That was 25 years ago, in 1988.  I suggested we move onto the record store.

They carry my shoe size. I <3 Nordstrom.

I think that's great.

The company saw a friendly old man who was clearly lonely and feeling a bit useless, and that the people at the store liked, and offered him a job (that they may have created just for him) where he could feel useful and get the human contact he wanted.

Good for them.

Does he give out tickets to six flags too?
