I'm glad that false advertising is being punished, but I can't believe that anyone heard those claims and didn't immediately have their bullshiat detector go off.

Oh look, yet another company being required to pay less than they made on their snake oil... Boy, they must really be sorry.

You can sell anything if you promise that it provides a tangible benefit with little effort from the consumer.

My personal favorite.  I'm sure it's usually used as a laundry drying rack.

You haven't taken notice of the intelligence displayed by the average American lately, have you?

Low-drop heels definitely makes you work certain muscles harder. The rocker bottom with purposeful instability has a similar effect-- increasing the strength of all the right muscles and connective tissue.

People who are on their feet all day and who *aren't* sloppy lazy biatches (not mutually exclusive) will probably report that although it takes adjustment, they are relieved of their chronic foot issues. It forces people to use their feet the right way--so they are strong, have more endurance. I saw rocker-bottom shoes take over a huge hospital.

In other words, they make you walk funny and after a while it's like you're constantly doing physical therapy without any real effort. A runner might see extraordinary gains from using them when not running. They do have significant merit.

But this is America, and the people who initiated the lawsuit probably never wore the shoes. They went after a misleading ad, and fark Sketchers for using a Kardashian anyway. If engineers had override on the marketing dept., this wouldn't have happened.

Please, in this country?  So many idiots will buy something if it means they can have something without having to make sacrifices.

Isn't that the point of every technological innovation ever?

Damn dumb people. Sketchers are the best value for casual leather shoes, though. They last.

Net zero.

Unless you hate the environment. Do you hate the environment?

I do actually. Nature murdered my parents and a moose once bit my sister.

My parents bought a norditrack (which is actually legit).  It served as a post-ironing hanging rack for years.

Their quality control of designs is 'sketchy'. Bought a pair of shoes, wore them fewer than 10 times and they tore. Noticed that the next incarnation of the same shoes, the failure point of the prior version had been made smaller and therefore less prone to failure.

I bought a pair of the updated ones and they have lasted. Hit and farkin' miss sometimes.
