Sure, they played their first season in Clemson. Still doesn't change the fact that they put "NC" over a picture of "SC."

Those too.  Jon Stewart said it best, though.  "South Carolina is the fourth-best Carolina, behind North Carolina, and two Carolinas that don't exist."

/I assume one of those is the failed state of Franklin

Problem is they explicitly labeled it as NC. Had the NC not been there I would just assume it was a Panthers attempt to neutralize people like me who explicitly refer to them as the Charlotte Panthers to counteract their BS attempt at inclusion.

It is the "Carolina Panthers", not the "North Carolina Panthers".  It's location was picked to be accessible to both states.  Both South and North Carolina should be behind the logo.

Perhaps if SC were anything more than "long stretch of road on the way to Atlanta" it would be.

Eh it's always been a half assed attempt to draw fans from SC and the Raleigh/Triangle area.

It would be like calling the Atlanta Braves the South East Braves just to try to suck up to fans in the states around them. They should have just called them the Charlotte Panthers all along.

Like we really need two Carolinas anyway.

Yeah, I feel like the name doesn't actually matter. It's not like "New England" Patriots fans are more prevalent in New Hampshire than "Boston" Red Sox fans.

What do you mean "semi"?  And yes, made my family stop there a million times as a kid.  I think that's part of why my parents don't speak to me anymore.

Jesus, talk about a stupid mistake by someone. So it's hard sometimes to keep track of which states have a 'Norh' and 'South' component, especially when you also try to remember that there's a West Virginia but no East Virginia, I'll grant them that. Our state names are sometimes a little head-scratchy.

...BUT...

As soon as WHOEVER set this up, I can guarantee someone googled "Carolina" to get the image. Right then is when they should have noticed that they had a farking choice, and done 2 seconds of research to clear it up.

If that was a stamp misprinted and recalled, it would be priceless.

As it is, it's a Carolina Panthers shirt, so it's worthless.

Well, to be fair, if this were 1995, the t-shirt wouldn't have been that far off seeing as the Panthers played their first season in Death Valley, SC.

I.  Thou shalt not put sauce on thine pork other than a mixture of vinegar and red pepper.  If thy meat needs any flavor from sauce, thou hast failed to cook the meat properly.
