Maybe he should have lost the mustache in an effort to thwart investigators.
2001-11-30 08:50:38 PM
Damn, he looks like my brother in law.
2001-11-30 08:51:23 PM
cURSE YOU, i ALMOST GOT boobies.

2001-11-30 08:51:28 PM
Huh? Who's the Green River killer? pffft.. some local hillbilly is arrested and it's a newsflash?
2001-11-30 08:52:18 PM
WHO in the hell made it to say BOOBIES when you put in boobies?
2001-11-30 08:53:12 PM
that sucks. And I don't have boobies.
2001-11-30 08:57:45 PM
A man murders 49 women and he's a "local hillbilly"??

At one point in time they thought the Green River killer was Ted Bundy (who also murdered four women in Seattle ... two of them right across the street from where I work).
2001-11-30 08:58:05 PM
He looks like Charles Bronson.

2001-11-30 08:59:41 PM
not to split hairs, but i think the king county sherrif's department made the arrest.
2001-11-30 09:00:03 PM
holy shiat, they finally caught him. What next, the Zodiac???
2001-11-30 09:01:39 PM
Hmm. Meat is right. That should read "King County Sherrif's Department" rather than "Seattle police".

Speaking of the Zodiac ... this month is some kind of Zodiac anniversary or something. I've seen three difference shows on three different channels about the guy - including one that claims to know who he is.
2001-11-30 09:03:57 PM
they think he may have killed up to 100 women.
2001-11-30 09:10:01 PM
is that the show where they claim he's some ex-Navy cryptogropher?
2001-11-30 09:14:09 PM
MDC had a song about the women of Seattle killings.
2001-11-30 09:14:22 PM
Ex-Navy cryptographer's son, to be specific. Yeah, the coincidences are weird. When police searched his house they found the same type of shoes there that they had found footprints of at a few of the crime scenes. Also, the murders and letters stopped for the entire time he was in jail for a lesser charge and the day after he was released from jail ... BAM ... he sent another letter.
2001-11-30 09:15:29 PM
Or, I should say, the day after his release another letter was received by the Zodiac.
2001-11-30 09:23:19 PM
I think I'll give to fark instead
2001-11-30 09:25:03 PM
question ...related topic but different aspect of it.....does anyone here remember a song from either late 80's early 90's...heavier band... about this whole green river guy...the only lyrics i can remember are "green river, roll out roll out" ... i have been trying to figure this out for well over a year now,,,PLEASE HELP.....PLEASE
2001-11-30 09:31:08 PM
Hmm. Google isn't much help there.

There was a Seattle band called Green River in the late 80's. Green River became Mother Love Bone in the later 80's, which then became Pearl Jam a few years later... maybe an old Green River song? Doesn't sound like a MLB song, definitely not like a PJ one.
2001-11-30 09:38:09 PM
definately not them..singer sounds almost like danzig..deep voice
2001-11-30 09:46:02 PM
Didn't Creedence Clearwater do a song called Green River?
2001-11-30 09:47:32 PM
Dammit Clscjones:
You beat me too it. Yes CCR did do a song called Green River.
2001-11-30 09:56:36 PM
Didn't the band I.P.Freely do a song called Green River.

Ooops that was Yellow River. Sorry.
2001-11-30 10:10:04 PM
yeah..ccr did one..but not it..neither is the band rehab doll
2001-11-30 10:37:29 PM
Fb-... I couldn't understand why everyone gave you a hard time until now. The Green River Killer a "local hillbilly?" You're a damn fool.
2001-11-30 10:49:52 PM

Wow they finally cought him. Just saw a documentary a few days ago on the killings.
2001-11-30 11:08:56 PM
Geeee, Another White serial killer .... this is news?
2001-11-30 11:09:49 PM
Grub: thats the same thing i thought...i always had a baaaaaaad feeling 'bout that guy
2001-11-30 11:22:48 PM
I just love it when my home town makes it into the news. I remember back in the '80s when my mom moved us into a house within a few blocks of the green river. That was the first time I ever heard of the killer. Ah, the good old days.
2001-11-30 11:28:19 PM
Wow they blamed somebody else. I guess I am clear of that little mess I caused.
2001-11-30 11:54:23 PM
I love you, Fb-, even when you're just out to troll. We're only talking about the most prolific uncaught serial killer in American history here. Actually, if he's responsible for all of the approx. 49 murders attributed to the Green River killer, he's the most prolific, beating out John Wayne Gacy by a nice wide margin.

Interestingly, there is a school of thought that there were two Green River killers with different MO's and dumping grounds. Even Henry Lee Lucas claimed to have copycatted one or two of the killings.

scott thompson...funny guy
2001-12-01 12:04:39 AM

The Green River Killer may be Beck Hansen.
[image from too old to be available]
2001-12-01 12:26:16 AM
Wow, I'm glad they caught him before another Green River was killed.
2001-12-01 01:31:03 AM
ha. i thought he looked like beck too..
2001-12-01 02:02:28 AM
omg! it is beck!
im afraid, really afraid
2001-12-01 02:03:25 AM
I always wondered if it was that disgustingly sweet lime "Green River" pop that killed them.
2001-12-01 02:07:38 AM
Someone I know worked on the KW assembly line with this guy. They said he was really weird - would just stand and stare at women with no emotion on his face at all, almost like he was sizing them up.
2001-12-01 03:25:45 AM
On a side note. Why don't ya'll clean up the damn river?
2001-12-01 04:42:54 AM
Back to the song issue...

there was a Metal band, but I can not rememeber their name. Their entire album was a dozen songs, each one about a different serial killer. I believe they had the song with that Chorus.

2001-12-01 06:32:29 AM
Yeah it is Macabre.

I went to get my Sinister Slaughter Album from my room and noticed that song not there. Although being every song being about a psychopath.

18. The green river murder (He's still out there)

Its on the album "Gloom".
2001-12-01 09:06:58 AM
heh...That's our old landlord's name. o.O
2001-12-01 11:49:45 AM
john douglas may finally sleep.
2001-12-01 12:50:51 PM
not until he finds the "real" killer in the Jon Bonet case. Maybe him and OJ should team up.
2001-12-01 01:52:29 PM
Is Douglas working the Ramsey case?
2001-12-01 02:12:18 PM
If I recall correctly, John Douglass whored himself out to John and Patsy Ramsey and went on a media tour proclaiming their innocence. I think he even came up with a bullshiat profile of Jon Benet's killer.
2001-12-01 02:25:32 PM
I used to work at Kenworth (the place that builds the trucks) This guy works there and was under suspicion in the late 80's. Rumors were all around the plcae when the cops came in and took everything from his locker.
2001-12-01 02:52:43 PM
boogybrown :-> i love you man... u just solved a question i've had for years.. now if only i can find the damn song online or something..unless theres some way u could make the song into mp3 for me and email it to me.. i'd of course return the favor if there is something i can find for you...
