Mugato: There are some worse things I could have engraved on my headstone but "Couldn't Handle His shiat" is up there.
PhiloeBedoe: Mugato: There are some worse things I could have engraved on my headstone but "Couldn't Handle His shiat" is up there.Get off your high horse and quit talkin' smack about that poor man...
Wall_of_Doodoo: So, as I see it, Heroin may sometimes feel like it's your wife or your life, but when it comes down to it, it just makes you feel like a man.

John Dewey: fusillade762: [imnotobsessed.com image 520x652]I'd shoot her up.Seriously. You get to tap THAT and you decide to tap out? That's f*cked up, man.
ongbok: Why do people continue to use heroin despite the disgusting shiat it does to people?
Gyrfalcon: ongbok: Why do people continue to use heroin despite the disgusting shiat it does to people?Suicide. All junkies are suicides. I've never known a junkie who wasn't looking to kill himself and just hadn't actually done it yet.
HuckleCat: In the cold grinding Hollywood scene, he seemed like a genuinely kind and decent person. I felt bad when I heard the news.
jaytkay: I knew nothing about him until he died and then Q played an old interview on CBC. Seemed like a very nice, lucky guy.RIP.
fusillade762: Wait, I just realized something: a 31-year-old was playing a high school student??
TuteTibiImperes: I'm surprised it was heroin. Maybe it's just the impression I've developed from TV/movie depictions, but I thought heroin addicts tended to look wasted away and feeble. Monteith still looked lively and fit, my bet was on coke or pills.
PiffMan420: ongbok: Why do people continue to use heroin despite the disgusting shiat it does to people? The answer is pills. Ask any junkie under the age of 30 how they got started. The majority will tell you that they started messing around with Oxycodone or Vicodin, then developed a habit that they couldn't support.Eventually, they made the switch to heroin simply because it's cheaper and easier to get.
GonzoNihilist: How come in the US a complete autopsy reports usually take 6-8 weeks, but they only take a day or two in Canada?
Peki: I wonder if he had been sober for awhile just prior. One of the things I wish they'd talk about in rehab/NA/AA/etc., is that if you go back out, you have to remember you don't have the tolerances you built up over time. You can't be a daily heroin user, go sober for three months, and then start shooting the same amount you used to. There are a LOT of stories of people who die the very first time using after a stretch of sobriety. Relapse is a part of recovery, but it doesn't have to be, and it sure as hell shouldn't kill you.
