Well after the listing fees, final valuation fees, and paypal merchant fees... he was only going to net $1.20 or so.

Bung_Howdy: wonder what the insurance runs on shipping human cargo

Probably based on a formula using some sort of breathing hole to water dispenser tube ratio.

Nah, you can't sell body parts on eBay. Nor some military equipment, but he wasn't an active soldier.

It's not the shipping that gets you.  It's the UPS brokerage charges.

The number of items that I skip due to the BS shipping fees is huge...

I absolutely hate when additional fees show up even for the stuff that there's no way it should have been charged (duties and such).

And stuff from UK, has been the worse for the items that never makes it to my address...  I don't know how they mail system works, but it's truly questionable.

Tell them to print the label from ebay, I've had hardly any problems with stuff getting where it's going eventually. I think it's because of the computerized address scanning they use; when I hand wrote addresses things got lost, now they don't. I think even with delays, everything gets there eventually.

Also duties are not the fault of the seller unless they add it in as shipping and handling (which they shouldn't). International mail has big charges sometimes. Brazil charges 100% tariff on a lot of merchandise items their citizens import. Shipping & handling on the other hand, should be reasonable and based on cost of shipping materials.

Ehhhh... somewhat, but I was able to avoid taking out a second private student loan the last two semesters. I'd have been even better off without a family emergency and veterinarian costs for my cat.

So he's out of work and somehow thinks $1.50 is going to turn his life around? Or is that per hour?

I'm sure he could sell himself as separate organs.
