Goodluckfox: My point being is that his facebook posting was ambiguous enough that it could have resulted in an impromptu rally and impact city services. There are ways to go about things. Some are smarter than others.

A government representative telling you how to behave when you're already behaving within the confines of the law is a bad thing.  Perhaps if there are specific laws and liabilities associated with events that get out of hand, they could have stated the laws as fact.
