Isn't that considered a war crime in some parts of the world?

If only they had left him on the road, thousands could have been saved from death by boredom.

Reading about why Dave Matthews dedicated Under the table and dreaming to his sister is sad.

2013-07-15 01:23:51 PM
On the same level as reading about the girl who did the voice for the duck bill dinosaur on the land before time.

At least it was not Hootie.

You are absolutely correct and thanks for putting things in perspective for these people.

Did he leave a turd in the car?

Dutch Pilsner: Did he leave a turd in the car?

nope, but according to the report, he tossed one out the window, and it hit a kid on a Slip "N" Slide..

^^^ This..

Well, THAT was pretty cool. Don't really know the dude's music (I'm a cranky old type), but dinner and tickets? Good karma. Nice one all around.

Good band that puts on great shows. Good guitar, percussion, and horns

I would ten times rather listen to Hootie's mild and bland musical stylings than DMB's faux-world-music frat-rock bullshiat. Plus, Darius Rucker gets bonus win points for that surreal Burger King commercial.

Hipster hatred at its finest.

I've been hating DMB for longer than many hipsters have been alive.

It's hard to hate something anymore, even something you've hated for a long time.  People are too farking quick with that "hipster" card.

I'm in the same boat.  I've hated DMB since about the same time they came out.

Sounds like we may have found the original hipster.

I was drinking PBR when it was still crappy regional pisswater.

despite the fact that I can't stand the Muzak inspired tones of Matthews, I think that's pretty cool by him, and Subby wrote and excellent headline.

There, I think I 1-upped you... :-)

Not that I can really brag, I started out with Black Label and Old Style...

I know it's pretty much mandatory on Fark to hate on Dave Matthews but DMB puts on one of the best live shows I've seen in 3 decades of concert going.

You will get no arguments from me.

I'm pro dmb as well, in 7 shows I have seen less d-baggery from the crowd, than many fans of the legends of rock, Clapton fans I'm looking at you.

Solid headline however

Hopefully they didn't drive their car under a bridge while his bus was on it.

Hear, hear. The first concert I ever went to was DMB in like 96 or 98, right when they were really big. It was a great show for a sunny, drunken, high afternoon.

The relevant question here is, does he play Wagon Wheel? If not, I am not interested.

/Crash Into Me is all kinds of WTF

Yup. And Crash got all kinds of unedited public radio airplay back in the day. I've never heard Sir Psycho Sexy or Apache Rose Peacock by the Red Hot Chili Peppers on the radio.

I saw him open for the Rolling Stones a while back. Not bad, but also not great. Certainly better than the band I saw open for the Stones the first time around. That would be the immortal Spindoctors.
