Pretty much available everywhere except OH and UT.

This is good, because it gets me off the hook for acquiring it for people.

Maybe we can work something out?

I'll be looking for this at my regular venues tomorrow.

How far are you from someplace not-Ohio that you could get it? Beer is heavy, and shipping is gonna cost.

Shouldn't this be a farkus or a sponsored link?

That's right. I'm that guy.

It doesn't look like a beer I'd enjoy, but I'll buy some if I see it.

If the laws of nature permitted it I would father your children, Drew.

/AK picked up New Belgium as well

Lemme guess. More overhopped madness from the microbreweries?

Nope

if wheaton had anything to do with this, he proved he was a huge douche with his comments about the zimmerman trial, and i'm not going to give him a thin dime.

The suggested pairings tell me this is one healthy beast of a beer. I'm intrigued, but a stout before Labor Day? It's light ale season.

Meh- I love stouts and porters. As far as i'm concerned, it's always stout season.

It's beer. Either like the beer and buy it or buy another beer, that for all you know, is owned by a pedophile. No one is saying you should buy this, or anything else, because you're endeared to the purveyor. If you do you are a tool.

I could arrange for a Michigan shipping address if you are willing. I'd gladly reciprocate if there is something beer wise in this region that you might not get in Cali. I can offer some good suggestions.

Who the fark rubs coffee on a porterhouse?

And did I just divide by zero in asking a foodie question in a beer thread?

Considering what a raging flamewar the verdict thread and its followups became, that's douchey....how?

There is nothing strong enough on this earth or with a high enough alcohol volume to make me forget about Wesley "Save the day or destroy it, make up your goddamn mind" Crusher.

I wonder if I can get our beer store guy up here in East Buttfark, ME to stock that.  He's got a metric ass-ton of Stone Brewing Co. beers in stock...

/we don't have much up here

I've had issues with dark brews with high ABV in the past.  My palate usually feels sexually assaulted afterwards.  But, I'm still willing to give it a try.

This was the one that might be a bit more offensive....for what its worth.  Hey, lots of people watched this trial and had lots of opinions.  I'd probably still drink their beer though.

If a beer is good enough, it will sell on its own merits.  This one will sell regardless of its merit, unfortunately.

Holding the line on whether or not you're going to try a product based on how well their views match up with yours is fine for those of you that do it. Go on with your bad selves. As for me,  I'm pretty sure that there's nobody out there that I completely agree with on every single thing, so that's not one of my product judgment criteria.

I'll buy it because I wanna try it. If it's good, I'll buy more of it.

Hey, maybe I'll drink this with my Chinese slave labor made iPad in my hand as I scarf down hate fueled Chik-Fil-a!!!!

Awesome. Going to be scouring the bottle shops of Raleigh, NC today for it...

2013-07-15 10:21:20 AM
With 13% ABV, you'll feel just like Drew Curtis after drinking a sixer of these!

2013-07-15 10:32:41 AM
Wheaton beer probably tastes like failure and old newspaper clippings.

My immediate expectation.  13% ABV generally means shiatty tasting overhopped beer that people rave about because beer-hipsters.

Ah, Wil Wheaton beer.  The "Snakes on a Plane" of beer.

Because he's wrong. Both in fact and in opinion. And Wil should be smart enough to know better. And he's otherwise a good guy, but that's a retarded thing to come out of the mouth of a supposedly smart person.

Yeah, 13% is a bit rich for my blood. Might give it a try if some friends want to split up a pint bottle sometime down the line.

Anything above 9% is boarder-line yeast abuse.

Why would you do that to your yeast? They do so much for you.

Can't wait to give this a try!

I'm a huge fan of the Stone catalog.

The slogan for the beer is "Why be a vigilante when you can stay home and get drunk?"

I like stouts, so I'll buy one.

2013-07-15 12:06:59 PM
Woohoo today is payday too.  Not that I expect the local stores to actually stock it.  It's as though they're afraid of beer.  Oh yeah, 40% Mormon does that to a town.
