Glenn should have died last season.

Also, for those of you like me who haven't read the comics, possible obnoxious SPOILERS within.

No, it'll have a lot of talking and weeping and people not dying, like the comic didn't have.

Character and plot be damned, I want mindless derivative zombie dreck.

I haven't watched it since season 1 and I love zombie flicks . I don't know if it's improved at all but the first season was boring as hell. Where are the damn zombies? Where is the action? Watching a buncha farkers on a farm not doing anything except chance some bumble headed kid around is farking boring.

The PC game was really awesome though and I got to kill plenty of zombies in it.

You should check out Deadlight.  It's probably the most immersive side-scroller I've played

Comics aren't always filmic.  I haven't read it, so I wouldn't know if it is.  Either way, all the dialogue and development--if the alternative is just more zombie killing--works for me.  i would have grown bored very quickly, if it was episodic and based solely on killing zombies.

The comic cast was also about three times as large as the TV show cast at the same point in time, which made "people...dying" far more feasible.

Didn't they also say they were going to make the zombies scarier a couple months ago?

People guessed as to tool using zombies, zombies with HIV, zombies that move fast etc....

make with the new season.

shiat or get off the pot.

You don't have to sell us on the new season we are already fanbois.

It lost me in the first half of season 2.  I still didn't really know or care who any of these characters were.  After wasting episode after episode trying to find some little girl I barely remembered, they all sat around a farm house and chatted and stuff.

I think they should kill Rick, Carl, Hershel, Darryl, Glenn, Maggie, Judith, Rick's daughter, Hershel's daughter that isn't Maggie, Maggie (a second time), Tyrese, Tyrese's girlfriend, all those old people they picked up from Woodbury, and everyone else.  Because comics are the same as television with regards to narrative and emotional investment by the viewer, comics producers view this investment the same way as television producers, and both have an equal financial investment in supporting the fanbase and narrative. I'm sure the majority of viewers will keep tuning in for a show with a lot of screaming and people dying at random.  Hell, they did it for M.A.S.H.

He'll be gone by the middle of the next season. At this rate they're going through showrunners almost as fast as characters on the show.

Season 3 was like Lost. Camp 1 vs Camp 2.

The walkers are too lame and slow now.

They need runners.

It's a title appropriated from the Brits, if I'm not mistaken.

Heretic. Zombies represent death, slow and relentless. Sure, sometimes we put ourselves in stupid situations and death grabs us unexpectedly. But we are not in a breathless race to outrun death every time we step out the door.

they need to find a way to kill Carl in every episode. I don't care if it turns out to be a dream sequence, just kill the little bastard in every. farken. episode.

I'm just glad Laurie and Andrea are dead.

Especially Andrea.  The actress was terrible. She was constantly lurching and tilting her shoulders in weird ways, like a visual version of the stereotypical Shatner speaking style.

They really screwed her character up.  Unfortunately, they've fallen into the trap of writing characters into corners and then killing them off because they don't know what else to do with them.

I just hope its good. The only ep i liked last season  was when Merle turned out to actually be a decent human being after all.

I'm just sad that Andrea died before the R-rated, topless movie got a chance to be released.

No, really, I'm glad she was killed off. They totally ruined her character in the TV version. Daryl is the TV version's cooler, less-likely-to-bone-Rick analog to Andrea from the comics.

But DAMN, did they waste her in the show or what? In the comics she's one of the best, most badass characters. In the show, she was just stupid and kinda biatchy.

I hope they don't continue the show's tradition of completely wrecking the comic characters when it comes to Michonne. She started out pretty bad, but she's improving. I hope it stays that way.

Zombie hipster here, It is boring but nails a few archetypes and is a television first, so I say it beats televised sports.

I have a strong suspicion we won't be meeting Lucille.  Much like Rick losing his hand, it's a storyline that will be brushed aside.

No, it is really unusual. A showrunner typically stays through the entire run of the show, and generally only get replaced if the show tanks in the ratings. Most of the time, they are with the show from conception to finale. The only time you generally see them change regularly is with something like Doctor Who where the show lasts for decades and needs new blood every 5 years or so

Unless glenn's death is so tragic that maggie loses her mind, and in the process, becomes promiscuous with every male/female character on the show.
