The first spider-tailed viper was collected in the deserts of western Iran in 1968... in 2003, Iranian scientist Hamid Bostanchi found a second viper with exactly the same tail

Maybe we shouldn't invade Iran after all.

No, but we should go liberate the shiat out of Australia.  This is clearly an Australian technology, and that history proves that the Aussies have maintained a policy of exporting weapon of mass nope technology to Iran for decades.

Either that, or he'll start selling parts of the monsters to support his fancy shoe habit.

Now we're talking.  Even a garden-variety centipede can make you suffer.  Especially if you accidently bunk down with one, under bed covers at night.

IIRC, in his "Doctor No" novel, Ian Fleming employed one of those bastards (rather than the movie-version tarantula) in a bad guy effort to put 007 out of commission.

Ever been bitten by one? It's like having a blowtorch applied to the area for about 2-3 days.

No, although a woman with whom I was once sharing a bed was 'tagged' by one.  She screamed for 2-3 days.
