WhyteRaven74: Demonrats: The similarities are that neither the rape victim or Zimmerman did anything illegal.Except for the whole stalking someone thing, it's illegal everywhere to just follow someone for the purposes of intimidation. Also for all we know, and there's no way he'd fess up to it, he might have had his gun drawn the whole time. In which case Martin would've been well within his rights to stand his ground.

Mistymtnhop: Elegy: Mistymtnhop: Have you ever been a woman in an abusive relationship that just got sick of him smacking you around and maybe was so hurt and embarrassed and enraged that you might have done something that ''doesn't make sense?"You mean, like a crime? One that endangered her children, at that?Exactly like that.
Contrabulous Flabtraption: re so many of you so CERTAIN Zim randomly decided that night was the night he was going to murder a defenseless black kid? What possible reason do you have to make you believe that?
Mistymtnhop: skullkrusher: Mistymtnhop: skullkrusher: shower_in_my_socks: skullkrusher: she LEFT the situation, got a farking gun and then REENTERED the situation. Stop doing a disservice to an actual problem by being a jackholeShe went into the garage of her own house to arm herself and then told her abusive husband to get the fark out before shooting a single shot into the ceiling. Give me a farking break. It''s not like she got out of her car, tracked her husband down on a public sidewalk, and then shot him to death, right???so, she extricated herself from the situation, entered a means of farking escape from the vicinity, got a gun, reentered the situation and fired "warning shots" that could have killed children but you can't see how that's kinda different than this or how she wasn't "standing her ground" after she had already ceded the ground and farking left the allegedly dangerous situation? You're not even trying to make sense, are you?Have you ever been a woman in an abusive relationship that just got sick of him smacking you around and maybe was so hurt and embarrassed and enraged that you might have done something that ''doesn't make sense?"I have never been a woman, no. Is this one of those situations where we can't comment on the legality of a person's actions because we're not that person in question? You can comment all you like, I was simply curious as to your level of understanding ''what made sense " to this particular woman in this particular situation. On this point I don't really think you can speak intelligently.

TheDumbBlonde: Peki: My favorite breakfast food.Second is Eggs Benedict. The best breakfast food is Room Service Eggs Benedict.
Owangotang: Crowd gathered at a horse statue in Chicago, moment of silence for Trayvon with fists lifted in the air.
Facetious_Speciest: MentatWhat if they are threatened by that violent attacker because they provoked the confrontation by chasing him down?Someone who goes home and comes back to confront someone hasn't been "chased down."
Twitch Boy: Twitch Boy: Kevin72: So did Tim Lincecum get a no-hitter? The final score seems to say the Giants won 9-0 with San Diego getting no hits.He did indeed.148 pitches? DAYUM!
shower_in_my_socks: skullkrusher: It was his house too. You have no duty of retreat but SHE DID RETREAT. You don't get to run away from a dangerous situation, arm yourself, reenter the situation and then recklessly fire a gun while claiming you were just "standing your ground".SHE HADN'T RETREATED. Her husband strangled her. She tried to leave, but COULDN'T. She went to her garage, but couldn't get out, so she grabbed a gun from her car and fired a warning shot to get her husband to GTFO. He had a history of domestic abuse against her, and a criminal record for assaulting other women. And she had a RESTRAINING ORDER against him. Jesus, man...
oregon fubaralas: Weatherkiss:When you really look a Florida law, they could have beat it without stand your ground. It would probably qualify as justifiable homicide just because Zs nose was messed up.All this "justice" talk is dumb. It's the law. I consider Sharia law unjust, but it's the law where people are willing to live with it.
Popcorn Johnny: Owangotang: Crowd gathered at a horse statue in Chicago, moment of silence for Trayvon with fists lifted in the air.Oh shiat, are they about to attack a creepy ass cracker too?
shower_in_my_socks: And she had a RESTRAINING ORDER against him
skullkrusher: FFS, she left the situation and REENTERED IT.
Triumph: And here we go...
Treygreen13: skullkrusher: FFS, she left the situation and REENTERED IT.I think at some point you have to realize that shower_in_my_socks apparently lives in an alternate reality and stop talking to him.
Delay: An armed man tracked down and killed a kid because of his skin color and the armed man disliked the kid's presence in the neighborhood..That's not guilty in Florida!Let's all agree, the American justice system is farked.
tbeatty: purple kool-aid and a jigger of formaldehyde: How do you know that Zimmerman didn't start it by confronting that kid, the kid was scared because the creepy cracker was following him and defended himself and when Zimmerman started to get his ass kicked he killed him? That's just as plausible. Only those two know and one of them is dead so...Seems to me that they have just sent a msg that if you want to kill someone, just start some shiat, start to get your ass kicked and then you can kill them now. Not saying that is what Zimmerman did, just saying looks like you could get away with doing that now.Because they examined the body for injuries. Trayvon had knuckle injuries and a gunshot wound. No other injuries. He wasn't punched or scratched. Zimmerman had injuries to his nose and the back of his head. He didn't have anything but injuries consistent with being beaten by Trayvon's fist and concrete sidewalk. It is very clear that the fight started off very one-sided and ended abruptly with the gunshot. Zimmerman didn't land a single blow. Kind of hard to start a fight without the injuries associate with an aggressor.
OtherLittleGuy: ariseatex: johncb76006: UNC_Samurai: This is about the prosecution being unable to put together a compelling case. You don't go to jail just for being proven a racist asshole.I thought that the only people who could be racist was the white folk.Zimmerman is Hispanic. You clearly never met my Sonoran grandmother./refused to go to my parents wedding//mom was marrying a "dirty Irishman"///slashies come in threesI read that as your "Sontaran grandmother", thought it was a sign of restraint that she didn't show up to the wedding with a full arsenal, complete with grenades and missiles.
Misconduc: Trayvon supports are getting their frustrations out at the local Denny's right now, last I heard there was a chair thrown through a window and police on the way. Wonder what happens when they find out they cannot vote Obama for a third term, take all KFC's and Fubu stores hostage?
tiggis: They cant file a wrongful death civil suit in this case because Stand your Ground is designed to not allow it.
Owangotang: Now holding lighters in the air supporting Trayvon's family in Chicago. Sounds like a rally is planned for tomorrow, noon, at Daley Plaza.
Lionel Mandrake: Amos Quito: I see here scores of OUTRAGED ignorant asshats who never paid a lick of attention to the trial, and never showed their prune-shriveled faces in the trial threads, outraged, OUTRAGED OUTRAGED OUTRAGED that this White Bread KKK neo-Nazi Kneegrowe-Hunter named George Zimmerman was allwed to WALK FREE after stalking, hunting and eviscerating a helpless oppressed minority child who, when not attending Bible Study, devoted his life to baking cupcakes for the elderly, the retarded and lost kittens.I don't see people saying that....what a delusional life you lead.
vinn01: 86. 12. That was the score 4th of July (2013) weekend in Chicago. 86 shot. 12 dead./ And we're all focused on one media circus case

And Florida's citizens realized it was farked up months ago when this thing started growing. But you're right, they could have beat it even without the stand-your-ground clause.
Wise_Guy: Let's announce this highly controversial verdict of a racially charged incident at 10 PM on a sweltering Saturday night. What could possibly go wrong?
