That was awesome. I would have felt bad for the kitty if I hadn't been laughing so hard.

I saw this video got featured on The Daily What. That's awesome ! But it also brings a lot of haters and misunderstanding. As for one: We were NOT "HOPING" he would fall of. It was just something that could have been expected. There are videos here of people scaring the shiat out of cats on purpose. Go flame on them.
There was a plastic bag on the table.
Something that isn't there every day. So ofcourse a cat has to check it out...
My mother started filming with the thought of her cat falling of the table. But gosh, the cat got stuck. XD
I do actually feel kinda sorry for him. :( But it's funny to keep watching him running through the living room in 3 jumps! XD

Yeah, listening to any music relating to the Eagles makes me feel the same way. Don Henley, Jesus people what do you expect?! What's next, I just rescued an abused puppy and decided the best course of action is a Glen Frey boxed set?!

Innocent young animals mixed with farked out craptascular music never ends well. If you don't believe me I'll give you the email address of a friend who just bought a baby ferret then introduced into a household still spinning Robert Plant's 'Big Log' album.

Tragic to say the least.

The ex & I had a cat that decided to get its head through the loop of a plastic shopping bag, then streak through the house like Supercat. It was hilarious.  We even tried to take the bag off her head, and once we were done, she opted to try out her cape one last time.

Crazy cat.

I would be upset If i had myself seen that video in 2009. But I didn't. I saw it first today. So that's okay!

Instead I'm raging because the Best Video I Personally Have Seen In the Last Two Minutes was redlit by some modmin.

That happened with one of my cats when she was young.  Pretty much exactly like that -- got her head through the handle, realized it was following her when she tried to move on, started tearing ass around the apartment, convinced the bag was going to eat her and was just as fast as she was.  To this day she'll tear off at the crinkle of a plastic bag in her vicinity.

My cat did that at 2 in the morning to a bag of catnip fronds I'd picked from outside.  She'd never jumped up on the counter before so I'd figured it would be safe there, but I should have known better when it came to catnip.  So not only did I have the plastic-caped fuzzball flying around the house knocking things over, she was leaving a trail of shredded catnip everywhere, too.

My cat did this once as well. I think it's amazing that cats do this.

I came home one day, and was busy unpacking the groceries, so I didn't notice that one of the bags had fallen on the floor. I heard a noise, and saw that the cat had gotten his head through the handle, and was tearing around the place in a panic. Yes, I laughed, but the cat had the last laugh. My brother lived here before I did, and he left behind a waterbed. In his terror, the cat had run across the bed, and had managed to make some pin holes, even through the blankets and sheets. I discovered this that night when I went to bed (they were very small, so they only leaked when my weight was on the bed). I muttered a curse, and pulled the blankets off and went to sleep on the couch. In the morning, I went into the room to get ready for my shower, and the floor splashed as I walked on it. Still groggy, I was confused until I looked more closely, and realized that, without any sheets or blankets on the bed, the cat had jumped up there, and found that it was a satisfactory surface to sharpen his claws on. I had been planning to patch the very small holes, but now one corner of the mattress was riddled with holes. I had to drop everything, and set up a hose running out of the window to siphon the water out of the mattress. That was the end of the waterbed. I was too poor at the time to replace it with anything, so I slept on a 7x3' piece of foam rubber for about a year. I like cats, but they have their down side.

My greycat Biscuit is an undocked part Manx. Because of this, her tail is shaped like a hook, and she can even clench it somewhat like a fist. When she was little, she got a plastic bag caught in that hook. She's always been a real fast cat, and she walked around a bit before realizing the bag was there when all of a sudden, "IT'S AFTER MEEE!!"
She circled everything in the house much like the cat in the video, then rocketed out the door and across the yard down to one of the cars I had parked near the garage and went under there. Later, I found shredded bag bits under the car, she was sure lightning quick when she was little. She survived unscathed and has now just turned 17 years old.
She's slightly more relaxed these days.

Same thing here, except it was a big plastic pretzel container shaped like a barrel.  Cat would bat it around, crawl in, spin around, crawl back out, etc.  About 1/5 of the time, she'd be wedged in there too tightly to spin around to face outward and therefore incapable of crawling or backing out.  Invariably, this would result in panic, and the barrel would zip around the apartment propelled by the cat's hind leg or legs.  We'd extricate her and put the barrel away in a kitchen cabinet, and then the cat would mewl continuously until we got it back out.  This could go on for HOURS.  And because the damn thing was nocturnal (and evil), it would get stuck inside that damn barrel in the middle of the damn night.

Oh, majhost!  Used to make some folks mad, because I'd seen their designs there first before they brought it out to play in the MMO I'm on.  Some wondered at first if I was psychic.

tape on the bottoms of the paws works pretty well too.

I had a cat that did exactly that as well.  I laughed like crazy, then went and helped him extricate himself.  He had peed all over the bag (and himself) from fright, and then I felt bad.

/Still giggled a little, tho...
