quatchi: Looks like it could potentially turn into an interesting albeit bleak Doc after a little more polish.
Revek: Lot lizards will roll you if they get a chance.
jaylectricity: My google-fu is too weak to find a picture of Tricia Takanawa getting ready to sleep with Quagmire in her special sex report.
Corydon: In my time on the road, I never bothered with the "no lot lizard" stickers. I've never had anyone just walk up and knock on my door. If I'm sitting in the driver's seat with the window down, then yes, I've had people approach me offering everything from gallons of oil obviously jacked from other trucks to offers to clean my cab, to panhandlers (and yes, I can be a bit of a soft touch...I've had some hard times myself and don't mind helping out even those with a fairly obvious substance abuse problem). On the other hand, I also avoid truck stops that are well known magnets for criminal activity, which includes prostitution.I have sometimes seen the lot lizards at work. Usually accompanying other drivers back to their trucks. All of them female. As I'm gay, I've never had any desire to engage their services myself. I don't look down on drivers who do though. It can be a lonely job, and I've been driven to fire up Growlr or Scruff on my phone now and then to find some company myself. It's actually one thing I really like about the job. It gives me serious "there but for the grace of God" moments fairly often. Keeps me from getting airs.
dig420: except the middle link (the only one I actually read) features two truckers saying they've never even SEEN one of these women which the author is no doubt trying to manufacture a national emergency over. I've never seen one. Just like underage sex workers that are supposed to be on every corner of LA and Vegas, the only place this problem really exists is in the pages of a writer trying to gin up an article out of smoke and mirrors. If you've been a trucker for over a year and you've never run into a prostitute in a truck stop, I'd say it's not as much of a problem as they'd like to make it seem.

Life_is_a_carnivore: Ew. Dirty trucker peener.
Rhino_man: Life_is_a_carnivore: Ew. Dirty trucker peener.Ew. Dirty hooker vagoo.
foxyshadis: "making the movie was a really traumatic experience. I suspect I may have developed some mild PTSD." "what Perlman captures in Lot Lizard is visceral and harrowing." "Betty and Monica are addicted to crack, Monica is homeless"There is absolutely no agenda to this article at all./If stimulants stronger than coffee prostitution were legal, there'd be no crackwhores and methwhores, just whores who do what they want because they want to.
Waldo Pepper: CognaciousThunk: Life_is_a_carnivore: Ew. Dirty trucker peener.yeah something tells me these guys get their rig washed more often than themselves. And we're talking about guys who take a whizz in a Mountain Dew bottle when they can't make it to the next rest stop in time.actually i believe the favor gatorade bottles due to the larger opening on the bottle.
theorellior: Hmmmm, I'm reminded of the movie "Butterfly Kisses" now.
BitwiseShift: Those wooded roads in Europe. Had to explain to the family what these ladies were seeking.[cdn.yomadic.com image 400x270]
