Now do Seinfeld. I'd guess that would be close to two hours.

If this guy could go and splice all of Louie Season 3 onto netflix I'd be happy.

Louis is pretty much the only person on the planet that can make me laugh, heartily, at a story about having to put your dog to sleep.

As a stand up, Seinfeld is pretty much a hack. Larry David was the true genius.

I really liked the first season of "Louie". But then it just became maudlin. The whole sad-sack thing wore me out.

Plus, I think Louis C.K.'s standup is generally pretty awful.

This. I failed to check how many episodes there were before I watched on Netflix and was sorely disappointed when there were no more to watch.

kinda surprised it took this long, internet.

Awful? Really? Why did you watch the show in the first place?

Never understood the appeal. Oh wow, middle-aged schlub says obvious things. He's a comedic genius!

He does? I think stand up isn't really for you guys if you think he sucks. I'd really like to know what CK haters like just for comparison sake. If you want to try and knock the best comic of the era then you should let us know who you think is better.

I actually watched the whole thing and quite enjoyed that. Thank gawd there are people out there willing to do this kinda thing and then share their labours of love with the rest of the internetizens.

/Yeah, I spell "labour" with a "u". Wanna make sommat of it?

Wait, what's the obvious joke about putting your dog to sleep? Why isn't every comic joking about this?

How does he not say obvious things? He just stands there and says being old and fat sucks. Hooray. Wow. I've never heard that before. Every single time I've seen him as a guest on a talk show, I was thoroughly underwhelmend. How does this guy get all the praise he gets? It's baffling to me.

Why do I have to tell you who I think is better? Do I have to tell you what food I think is better if I don't like McDonald's?

See? He's funny because he had presence. Louis just comes off as the annoying middle-aged man you'd wish would just shut up and leave.

This thread is terrible. It's a bunch of people making obvious jokes about one of the best stand-up comedians out there.

Well...him and Kevin Hart.

I like my humor funny. If I wanted to contemplate life I'd read a book. I don't need a boring middle-aged guy telling me about his life. I *AM* a boring middle-aged guy.

He talks about way more than that, I don't think you know much about his comedy, since apparently you based it on his talk show appearances. I love Patrice, so no problem there, but Louis CK is the best out right now, if Patrice was alive he'd be up there with CK, Burr, and the like.

/Louis CK is surrealistic with his comedy, to call him "obvious" is asinine.

I can't imagine that you've heard anything because you so much enjoy talking and listening to yourself.

All kidding aside...how about Amy Schumer's show? Obviously they shot the whole thing around one set she did. She's wearing the same clothes on stage in every episode as well as the same army furry hat on the street.

I think it's cool that she could stretch out her act into a season of shows.

Louie is one of the best comedians out right now..  Stand up comedy is in a weird down spot right now.. Dane Cook kinda sucked the life out of any promise of actual funny comedians making it to the top again so the industry just sort of died and resorted to dark cringe comedy. (which is the best)

YOUR OBVIOUS OBVIOUSNESS IS OBVIOUS. Obviously you can go be obvious somewhere vague.

/I like Patrice O'Neal too. I was upset when he died. Maybe not as much as Greg Giraldo, but still unhappy. I miss Tough Crowd. Still, I put Louis up top with this generations' greats. You don't get him? That's your problem, have fun not having fun.

I love his normal standup, but for some reason his show (including the little standup bits) is nothing but depressing shiat. His regular standup is way more positive.

People say streaming on Netflix is not good, but it was Netflix instant streaming has Louie on there, plus It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Both good shows but Louie in particular. My favorite episode is the one where he makes a pass at Joan Rivers.

Once he talked about punching his own kid in the face I was hooked. Genius or not, he has broken through the shame barrier and it's amazing.
